Order Tracking

Congratulations RKPhelps. Beautiful Truck! I am sure there are a lot of jealous people on here :)
Here is an update on mine so folks can track how long things are taking:
Ram 1500 Limited 4X4. No eTorque, No Ramboxes
It does have the protection group.
Ordered on 4/28, went into D1 on 5/10 and built on 6/5
Mine went into "I" inspection for a little over a week for some reason. It then went to the Body Vendor for a day, but then went to "JS"
The "JS" cleared in a few days so I suspected something was left over from the inspection process. I also wondered if something related to the protection group part availability caused the delay based on things I read here.
I reached KZ on 6/15 and then the next day it arrived at "Detroit, MI Offsite" and is still there.

I think the Detoit offsite is likely the old Budd plant that they now use to help with rail shipping. My dealer said it is on a train, but since I haven't gotten any other updates of movement, I suspect it is on a train waiting to fill up with other vehicles heading west.

I sold my 2012 Ram 1500 yesterday so I am extra-excited to get the new one!
 
Thanks guys on congrats on my new truck. I thought you may find this interesting, could be karma I don’t know. Anyway I originally ordered the Limited on 4/5/18 and 5 weeks into that build I found out I would not get the 360 camera since I ordered the Tow package. Thank god for this site or I would have never learned this. So, 5 weeks in on 5/10/18 I had to reorder another truck without the tow package with just the tow brake and start the wait all over. On 6/19/18 (my wife’s birthday) my 2nd ordered truck shows up at my dealer and an hour later another truck shows up with my 1st ordered truck on it. My dealer told me after inspecting the trucks it turns out my 1st truck sustained shipping damage to the top of the cab. Someone I think was telling me I should not have that 1st truck and at that point, I felt the extra wait was worth it. My wife still insists this was a birthday present for her since we got it on her birthday – Not, but I’ll let her drive it sometimes.

I hope all you guys get your trucks soon – you’re going to love it

This is getting old. I am really tempted to just pick up a heavily discounted F-150. The customer service on the Ram site is essentially worthless for order tracking. No offense intended to the folks working the phones but they don’t seem to have any info beyond what is scripted for them, and in my opinion the script is insulting. I would much prefer that they just say the have no idea why it is taking so long or when the truck will be built. Instead I get the same line — your parts are being gathered and it should be soon, or something like that. Kind of ruins the experience.

I'm going backwards. 30 days in and this morning my dealer said I am in "C" status! :-(

I now have to wait for this 3rd party lemon law company to schedule an appointment with me so we can switch trucks. Wonder how long this might take

Congrats alacombe. Your truck is almost at the dealer. Hopefully your dealer doesn't take their time with prep.

Good luck! Please don't blame FCA for transportation delays, these railroad guys are semi-government unionized junkies and FCA just cant do anything to help. It took them 2 days just offloading my truck from railcar and it was just parked in VDC lot for another 3 days until my dealer sent associate just to drive it out few miles to dealership. 3 weeks from MI to WA.
