Not many 2019’s on the road?

I work from home most of the week, so I'm not out on the roads that much outside the weekend, but I've seen a handful in Northern Virginia.

I agree very few seen. Two sightings in MN. I drive about 50 miles a day on average from suburbia to the big city and the kiddos activities. I'm mentally scanning cars and trucks (mostly cops, Tesla's and all trucks).

I really don't think these trucks are selling very well. I think the massive discounts on the 2018 Ram are keeping sales numbers steady. Not sure why these 2019's are not selling. Sit in one and you'll want to buy it. I'll try to look up 2019 sales numbers but last I checked, they didnt separate the model year from the 2018's in the sales report.

In May Ram sold 46,781 vehicles. This includes all new vehicles from the 3500 to 2018 1500. No way to tell how many 2019's they unloaded but it ain't many. I remember back when Ford released the 2015 F150 (the aluminum one) and within a couple of months or so I saw them all over the place.

I am in Massachusetts and I have not seen one on the road yet. The dealer closest to me has 29 in stock and nothing seems to be moving.
@Slim Hey neighbor! Down in RI have only seen one 2019 model, on the road in passing, in the last month. Not many in stock at the dealerships, and nearly zero eTorques.

I have seen 1 and that is mine drove from AZ to WA, is a little strange.

I live in Massachusetts as well and was super excited to see one driving the other day! I got so excited I screamed out and scared my wife who was riding shotgun. She looked at me like I was crazy haha. It was the only one I've seen in the wild.

I'm guessing many were waiting for eTorque and ramboxes

Sales Results - USA - Ram
Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun
2018 32,039 36,737 44,878 43,074 51,884 51,729
2017 38,045 42,785 51,749 47,327 51,044 48,645

Sales numbers this year so far compared to last year. Keep in mind last year was Ram sold more trucks than ever. Looks to me like sales were down for the first part of the year due to people waiting for the 2019s. Sales down compared to 2017 from Jan-April then in May things flipped around with more trucks being sold this year. Thats also about when 2019s started to arrive in volume at dealers, that said they don't break the sales numbers down by model year and there is a good chance sales are high due to the crazy deals on 2018 trucks right now.

That's most likely the cause of the little uptick for May. It ain't 2019's driving it. It's the fact that Ram is dang near selling 2018's at cost!

Mine is the only one I've seen on the road in Houston. Saw a Rebel a couple of months ago on the highway between San Antonio and Houston, and a Laramie Longhorn while on I-10 in Louisiana, but no other 19s in Houston. Kind of cool to be the only one so far.

Good trend now finally, but they won’t catch up from last year (~18% down for first third!) if they don’t get manufacturing up to speed and on track hasta pronto. Oh and the bed step. That’s the key!

I haven’t seen another 19 on the road in my area. I have seen a few disappear from the local dealer lot but haven’t seen them on the road.

I saw a white 2019 yesterday but it looked like a stripped version (very basic truck). All the other ones I have seen are on dealer lots. Makes me wonder if a huge percentage of those trucks manufactured this year are either still in Detroit, in transit, or on dealer lots. Very strange situation.

Hey slim, yoadrian and Bostonblueram I’m from ri also and I’ve actually seen a handful all with in the last week and a half. They are starting to show up now I feel like. There is a guy that works right down the road from my work with a black limited he spotted me driving by the other day and waved. I think they will begin to pick up soon now that they are shippin storage. A guy I work with has one on order that should be in very soon

Good to hear! I take it you just got the truck? And if so which one did you get?

I've only seen a couple on the road in Austin, but the dealers seem to have tons on the lot and I expect to see more soon. Once a few of them get out there and people see them first hand I would expect more interest....this is a really nice truck, and once you see it in person it would be hard not to want one.

I actually got it the beginning of may. Already have 5000 miles on it it’s a limited crew granite Chrystal 3.92

Absolutely gorgeous truck! If you added ramboxes that would be the truck I have on order.
