Hi buckeyecool71,

I just responded and will continue assisting from there.

I received your note Jasmine. Thanks

I am struggling with how this seems to be a question from ALL North Package customers and so far has been unable to be answered. Do not send me to my dealer, they cannot answer this question, I have tried many times. RAM needs to answer this question.

- This is what is on the Ram website under North Package
Exterior Mirrors with Memory
With the memory feature you can save your customized settings for the power exterior mirrors. If someone else drives your vehicle, your settings automatically return with a push of the memory button.

Is their an option on my truck, or that can be added, that ELMINATES this on the RAM BIGHORN 1500 with North Package?
Have I overlooked where the memory button is?
When my truck was built, was this missed?

If you cannot answer this question, can you get me in touch with someone who can? So far it is unacceptable that this question has not been answered directly.

NORTH PACKAGE OWNERS...Do you any of you have this feature????

If you have the towing package, I believe the towing mirrors deletes the mirror memory function. I'm pretty sure that's what my dealer said and I don't remember seeing mirror memory in the apps area. I do have the auto-dim mirrors.

What defines the tow package? Do you have the Tow Brake? I have the hitch not sure if this qualifies as the tow package. Thanks!

Yes, I have the tow brake controller, and that (and the tow mirrors) is what comes in the tow package. The tow mirrors eliminates the other mirror options. My window sticker says, under North edition:

"Power Heated Mirrors with fold-away - Not Available with towing mirrors"

I suspect a lot of people didn't realize that the towing package would eliminate the other mirror options. I just bought mine off the lot, but if I was ordering I would much rather have the folding/heated mirrors than the trailer brake control.

Another North Edition without memory mirrors here... I specifically hunted down a pickup that did NOT have the tow mirrors because I wanted the power fold option, so while my truck does have the brake controller it does not have the tow package. The brake controller is specifically listed as an option on the window sticker.

Also questioning the 1" lift that the North Edition may or may not actually come with? Is there a standard measurement somewhere to confirm this, or perhaps a specific part number on the coilovers that verifies the difference?

Check your build sheet:
Not sure about a standard measurement, but I can tell just by looking at one if it has the lift. Not to be all "that's what she said", but an inch does make a difference. Park your truck next to one that does or doesn't have it listed and you'll see the difference (or not).

Mine definitely has the lift. On the test drive my wife commented that it was harder getting into this truck than the one I was originally going to buy. When we got back I parked right next to that truck and she commented "This one looks taller" and we were on flat ground and she was right. Personally, I'd rather *not* have the lift as I don't need it, I use this truck for working (and when not, cruising) and have no plans on climbing over deep snow drifts :D

@Maple thanks for the link to check my build sheet.

@RamCares I too have a North Edition, but lack the driver door mounted memory buttons. According to the owners manual those buttons are required for any memory mirror function, whether those buttons or the keyfob.

My window sticker does not list memory mirrors, but my build sheet found through the link provided by @Maple does list them on my truck. Also, when building a North Edition on Rams website they are listed as part of the package.

Thank you for your message. I am a bit confused as we have an ongoing conversation via private message and I asked if you're having trouble setting it. I have not heard back regarding my question. I advised if you are experiencing concerns setting the mirrors, let me know and I'll reach back out my internal resource. Feel free to follow up in our private message conversation.

Hi Wolf,

I responded to your message about trying to get a physical demonstration on how to set this. I'll follow up with you there and will update the thread as well when I hear back.

Ok guys and gals, come Monday or Tuesday I should have an answer on, "where do we go from here".

My case specialist spoke with those higher up the chain. Conclusion: my North Edition truck is suppose to have memory mirrors.

I am bringing it to a dealer on Monday at the request of Chrysler so they can see if, hopefully, everything is there except the proper door panel w/buttons. That would obviously be the best case for them and us. If the wiring harness and modules aren't there, I'm not sure what the best fix would be.

I'll keep you all updated.

@RamCares thanks again for getting a specialist in the case.

It looks like mine is supposed to have them as well according to the build sheet, but nothing on the window sticker. I'll be interested to see what your dealer says.

North edition, non tow package, no memory mirrors as well. Dont really need them but if it was supposed to come with the truck then it would be nice to at least have that option I paid for

I do not believe that when Ram says mirrors with memory, they mean complete driver memory profile buttons for full seating position, etc. Let us know what you find out OP.

If you don't have the buttons on the door, how would you ever set the position of the mirrors in memory, so that the truck knows where to restore them to?

The tow package deletes the 360 camera option. But, I don't think it deletes the memory option. If the mirrors are power adjustable (whether they are power folding or not), I can't see why the memory function wouldn't work for them as well as the seats.

I haven't see anyone with the tow package in this thread. The owners manual states the only way to set memory seats for the truck is through the door buttons(which none of us have). Even for the keyfob feature it must be set with door buttons first(which none of us have). I confirmed this with Chrysler, which is why THEY requested I bring it to a dealer to see if the guts are there and we just have the wrong door panel, or if it was skipped completely. If it was skipped that would be a huge headache for them and us.
