That has been my point with Chrysler. I held firm with them so it would go higher up the chain, so Ram can correct the website and build sheets before they build too many more with that false promise. You're right - when you build this truck online, it says it comes with memory mirrors. I added the tow package, which is what my truck has, and it didn't take that away. So I'm guessing they don't have it set up right on the website, because I wouldn't be surprised if the tow mirrors negate the memory function for whatever reason. If that's not the case, then they are advertising you get something when you don't. For me, I couldn't care less one way or the other, but it may be useful for some people and if they say you get something you should get it.
I was hopeful when I dropped off my truck at the dealer, that the guts were there and they would just need to change a door panel and add the buttons, because my wife does use my truck often and messes up my seat and mirror placement. That is not the case. It has the wrong wiring harness and no modules...There is no easy correction.
When picking up my truck, the service manager asked, "What do you hope to get from this"?
I said, " I hoped to get the memory option, but I understand without tearing apart my entire truck or a buyback and vehicle swap that is impossible. That seems to extreme to me for a small missing feature. However, I did buy a brake controller from a mopar site and if you guys could install and program that for me, that would be great".
He asked, "Do you have the reciept"?
I showed him the reciept on my phone. After seeing the $128 purchase price. He asked if I could print it off. He was going to ask Kyle if they would reimburse my trailer brake purchase price and install the brake controller for me.
I said, "That would be fair, I get buttons that do something in place of missing buttons that were suppose to do something".
That is where I'm at. I'll let you guys know the outcome. I'm fairly confident Chrysler will accept my modest settlement.
