Or a 6.4L? Unfortunately, I wouldn’t have any payload left...They have the looks inside and out and the ride that is for sure. I would love to drop the 5.0 in my Ram. It would really wake this truck up!

Eco is stupid. The 5.0 in the f150 gets far better mpg, sounds better, definitely quicker and doesn’t use the eco crap. It just doesnt make much sense why a brand new truck with this technology can’t get better mileage. The Rams are still way heavier than both GM and Ford I believe. I’m sure that has a lot to do with it.
2015 - 2018 F150 5.0 = 16.3 AVG mpg (nearly 500 trucks over around 7 million miles)
2015 - 2018 Ram 5.7 = 15.5 AVG mpg (nearly 800 trucks over around 11 milltion miles)
2019 Ram 5.7 etorque = 16.6 AVG mpg ( 1 truck over 4000 miles)
So an average of 0.8 MPG better vs 4th gen. 5th gens are all really too new to compare. Computers need to learn. Only 1 etorque reporting on Fuelly to provide hand calculated comparison.
Sound is subjective - i prefer the hemi.
2018 Trucktrend pickup truck of the year had a Ram 1500 harvest edition vs F150 Platinum 5.0. F150 was faster 0-60 but 1/4 times however were nearly identical when loaded.
The 5.0 is moving less weight, as you mention. Considering each has comparable power output, it makes sense for the 5.7 to get slightly less MPG and be slightly slower 0-60.
I like the 5.0, but not the rest of the truck it comes with.
All I have to compare is my 2015 vs my 2019 Ram. Same daily drive and the f150 with the 5.0 was significantly more efficient and as far as get up and go the 5.0 was much quicker. It just felt really light on its feet. Put that sucker in sport mode and it was a rocket to drive.
I wish Ram would of put a sport mode button in these trucks. While the 8 speed is quick to know what you are trying to accomplish, the sport mode really makes a difference.
Driving even a trackhawk between regular and sport mode it makes the truck feel much peppier off the line/accelerating.

Took the same trip that my 5.0 f150 got over 25 mpg on today. I kept the cruise at 60. My 19 Laramie truck averaged 21.9. Wtf? 4 years newer and can’t come close to the mpg’s of the 5.0 and it’s slower. Crazy.
What was the F150 gear ratio? What is your current trucks gear ratio and engine type? Sametime of year? Both Same cabs? Both Same tire Size? Both 4x4? Is your 2019 broke it? Both around the same weight? Just curious cause everyone of the variables plays into MPG.

Oh yes! Sport mode in this Ram would really wake her up.
Until Trip B is reset, it should match Trip A as both should be reading MPG since new.I also found an issue with the trip info MPG. Trip A MPG appears accurate, but trip B MPG matches my trip A mileage. Trip B has never been reset. Has anyone else seen this behavior?
Your post got me thinking. I’ve had three trucks since we bought our cabin. 400 mile round trip, approximately every 3 weeks. All I have to compare is my 2015 vs my 2019 Ram.
