Motofab 2.5” leveling kit installed

My experience was similar to KSN but I had to twist both sides a little to get the bottom bolt in. It sounds like you have the UCA's in the right orientation, the small hole in the tube faces the rear. Check your front drive shaft it sounds like the out side joint has slipped out and was binding up creating a block. Before you start raising the lower control arm make sure you can freely turn the hub by hand and the half shaft turns smoothly. If it binds up what happened is when you pushed lower control arm down and the spindle is flopped over to the outside of the truck to make room you over extended and slipped the joint on the CV not a big deal, just gotta make sure its back in the right place before you start raising the lower control arm. this happened to me on the Ram, and on my GMC when I put the level kit on it.

You might be on to something there. I couldn't twist the knuckle and I think I recall the rotor being locked up as well.

Thanks

I put the small holes in the UCA tube to rear, I believe those are correct. I did what you described with the strut, put the top in first and put the nuts on loose. I had to pry on the lower control arm pretty hard to just get the bottom of the strut to straddle the lower control arm
memeber.

Do you have the ORP?

Thanks
Sounds like you have the UCAs on right. I'm with Billet on thinking the CV joint probably slipped out of position. It is easy to do if you pull back too far on the wheel hub/spindle. If it is not seated correctly it would cause an issue when you try to bolt everything back up. I do not have the ORP but the inch difference should not have that big of an impact.

I owe Billet1500 some beers. Got it done in 3hrs this mornin'.

Thanks guys!

I might be very seriously interested in buying your takeoff wheels. 20" correct?

Did you ever buy wheels. I got a stock set of chrome 20’s for sale with tires. 300 miles in them.

Anyone else notice the boot/sleeve wearing against the strut (pic attached) I have the ORP. I wonder if this has to do with the angle of the strut hat at the top???

I did the 2.5” with new control arms on top of the 1” off-road pack, and 295/60R20 tires. I had to clear up some minor rubbing, and even found a way to keep the front mud flaps. I love the look of the 3.5” height and 34” tire combo.
any pictures?

any pictures?

Sorry it took me so long to get these. Been a long week, and I couldn’t seem to get home before dark. I have Husky flaps, and they actually worked perfect when I trimmed them. With my offset and 34s I had to do a little extra work.

After installing the Moto Fab's do you need an alignment?

I ordered the Daystar kit. Will likely replace the Motofab on Friday and see what difference it makes.

Did you replace your stock UCA's also? Wondering if you can get a good alignment with the Motofab's only.
