Did the new headlights have moisture issues too?

Not sure! Truck is still in the shop as the headlights are on back order lol so it appears there is a massive call for replacement on these as the shop said warranty orders get first pick. Been over a month now waiting.

Well I was just informed from my dealership that the passenger side headlight is on national back order. There were 40 other dealers waiting on it as well. There is no expected delivery date as of today so obviously this is an issue. Maybe they issue a recall or some kind of fix.

Anyone else have this issue. I bought my truck a month ago, and just noticed that the inside of the lens is accumulating moisture, which means they aren't sealed very well. I would think this would be a warranty issue? I have a Laramie with the LED lighting group.
I also have bought 2019 Laramie sport
And my light have lots of condensation

Bought my 2019 Big Horn on Friday. Very cold/damp last night and today. Found the same condensation in both headlights towards the bottom where the turn signals are. I also had similar issues on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee, but with the taillights. They have already replaced one of the four light housings. The one they replaced has no condensation. The other three (waiting on parts) does. So, I am guessing they must be using a bad batch of glue or something? I took pics and will be talking to them about these headlights this coming week. I know they are not completely sealed, but I can’t imagine this much condensation being normal. I, too, am interested in hearing from anyone who has had their lights replaced to see if the problem was resolved or if it persisted. Maybe it is normal in these led lights (the Jeep is led too), but I do not see condensation in my taillights yet.

My 14 Big Horn had headlight condensation, my 19 Big Horn has it and my bro-in-law's 14 and 17 Big Horn's have it. I wouldn't expect having mine replaced will fix this issue.

My ‘16 1/2 ton Ram didn’t have. My ‘16 4500 Ram work truck doesn’t have it. A little condensation like fogging I understand but not dripping inside the corners of the headlights on a $50k truck is unacceptable. Even my dealership said that’s not normal. National back order on the headlights kinda seems like there is a problem. If your ok with it then save the 2 headlights for the next guy who wants them replaced.

Anyone have any updates to this? I noticed this tonight (condensation on the inside of my headlights) in my truck. Considering I keep it outside, and it’s currently 10-20 degrees here throughout the day, I thought there might be a chance what I’m seeing is normal. From what I’ve seen, some condensation is expected in headlights under certain conditions.

I’m curious to see if those who have had theirs replaced still experience it or not.

Well I finally got both of my headlights replaced last week due to dealer part backorder. Been cold here as well 10-20s and so far I haven’t seen anymore moisture. I haven’t washed it yet which will be a good test to see if any moisture comes back. Will post again once I wash it.

I had it so bad on the drivers side it impeded the light level at night. The dealer replaced it with no hassle or issues. Mine was really extreme though so there was no way they could push back. I had this on another one of my cars and it was caused from bad seals on the light housing. High pressure washes made this come to light since the water hits the housing and forces itself through the defective gasket inside.

This is still an issue. I just picked up my new 19 this morning and noticed it after the truck has been off for about 30 min when I got home.

From what I’ve seen, there is a line between what condensation is considered normal, and what isn’t. It sounds like if there are large temperature swings, or if it’s very cold out, some condensation is expected. If there are water droplets or if water is getting in from the car wash or rain, that is an issue.

Maybe I’m wrong, but that is my understanding. Someone mentioned a TSB for this, but I haven’t been able to find it.

My dealer said it’s not normal and they are sealed (no vents). He ordered and replaced both headlights. So far so good.

Well I finally washed my truck last night. Temps weren’t that cold maybe 30s. Today it’s about 50 and no moisture so far. I guess the new headlights are the fix.
