Unrelated Question: Do you feel like the door guard trim comes out far enough to take the brunt of parking lot bumps? I have the Limited w/ the Black Appearance Package, which didn't include the guard trim. Just spent a few hundred a piece to have creases removed from the doors and need some protection. Here you go...
Again, these are 33x12.5R22 Nitto Terra Grappler's. I had the OEM wheels powder coated in "ink" colored polished black.
I have plans to add 2 inch spacers and a 2 inch leveling kit.

Did a 33/12.5/22 on mine and the wheel well still looks too empty. Went with a 109E that I'd have to keep inflated to 60psi just to carry the load. Seriously thinking of going with 285/55/22 after seeing yours.Bro you have to calm down. I’m not running 305s, I'm running 285s.. I never said run that tire. You have me confused with some else short fry. You been told exactly what is what. Thread over. Love it and weep
Old post, but do you still have the spacers on? Is there a photo of where the tires sit out?Someone mentioned a 275/50/22 was the biggest all season tire you could get. Not the case. If you wanna stay all season but little more aggressive, these cane out nice. They are 305/45/22, 12” wide an 32.8 l tall. Factory are 31.8 View attachment 40443View attachment 40444
Off topic, but what coating did you use. Looks like my finish w/ Adam's Ceramic Graphene. After mine was removed during collision repair, I'm debating whether I want to use Adam's again or something else.Thank you!
I can currently running 305/55 r20 with no rubbing on my 2020 limited with stock air suspension. The tires that came stock on all Rams (at least the 3 I have owned) suck. Going to replace them with something else. I've always thought the tires look a little small, even for stock. What are the largest size that can be installed without rubbing or lifting/leveling kits? I'd want it to work with all air suspension settings.
2020 limited 4wd, air suspension 22" stock rims
I thought about this size, but it was so hard to find tires in the 305/45, barely anything came in the 305/55I can currently running 305/55 r20 with no rubbing on my 2020 limited with stock air suspension.
Where specifically is it rubbing?I just bought a 2021 1500 Limited with air suspension . Today I swapped out the stock tires with Toyo Open Country AT3 305/45/22. They rubbed at normal height at full lock in reverse in the tire shop parking lot
I haven’t even had a chance to figure it out but I had the wheel turned all the way right and heard it on the driver side.Where specifically is it rubbing?
OK, thanks. I also had 305/45 22 Toyo OC A/T III ‘s put on this morning. I haven’t had an opportunity to check for rubbing as it has been raining here (basically for the last two weeks ). I haven’t even been able to take any pictures since I picked her up early last week!I haven’t even had a chance to figure it out but I had the wheel turned all the way right and heard it on the driver side.
I am buying a 2022 Limited, night edition. I wanted to know if you still like the 305/50/22?Sorry to join the party late...
I am running the Nitto 305/50/22 ... they stand just a little over 34 inches tall. As long as I have my air suspension set at "normal" height or higher I do not have any rubbing issues. In the lower settings I had a slight rub in reverse while turning sharp (like backing into a parking space). However, I have trimmed the plastic that caused the rub and all is good in that regard. Final thing to think about... in the lowest height setting, when turning to full lock the sidewall is about 1/8 of an inch from the plastic arm that helps control the ride height. Hope all this helps.
How did you fit those on with no adjustments? my local dealership AND an independent tire company both said those tires were too large for the stock 22" rims. They literally showed me how they could not get those tires on the rim. I have the set you mention so I'd love to just get them mounted. Thanks for the adviceI put 33" x 12.5R22 Nitto Terra Grappler G2's on my 2019 Limited with Air Suspension and have zero rubbing issues with no lift or leveling. See picture in my avatar.
Those are OEM 22"x9" Wheels?I put 33" x 12.5R22 Nitto Terra Grappler G2's on my 2019 Limited with Air Suspension and have zero rubbing issues with no lift or leveling. See picture in my avatar.
I took some advice from this thread and bought the Nitto Recon Grapplers in 33 x 12.5. Love these tires and the look. Tires fit no problem for me. Local tire shop. Same setup. How did you fit those on with no adjustments? my local dealership AND an independent tire company both said those tires were too large for the stock 22" rims. They literally showed me how they could not get those tires on the rim. I have the set you mention so I'd love to just get them mounted. Thanks for the advice
You did a level but no lift?I ended up going with full size 35x12.50x22 nitto ridge grapplers on stock wheels and I have the revel leveling links and it works perfect. I had to use a zip tie and pull the front fender liner back a little is the only modification I had to do. Love these trucks with full-size 35’s.View attachment 156550
