How to: Add Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane assist, FCW & Auto Hi-beam to Ram 1500

Tried again and I cleared everything but C10D0. I need to disable EPB In-Plant Mode for this? I just keep getting “Failed. Service Not Supported In Active Diagnostic Session.

Do read system status and make sure both the ESC and EPB plant mode disabled procedure is run before doing it. Restart alfa app. Make sure parking brake is off by toggling the switch. Keep ignition on and then keep foot off brake. Make sure the parking brake doesn’t auto engage. Once you are sure its off, run the service procedures-> assembly check. You should hear the brakes go and off and then clear codes. You should be good then

This worked! Thanks! Took it for a spin and everything is working and codes are gone.

If vin showed up after you did system read it worked. If not disconnect battery for 30mins and retry. I had to do that once when i initially started. But after i was able to get vin to all ? after vin reset i followed post #812. Between each step i had to cycle ignition twice, run reset ecu twice, close alfa app and restart it in tablet.
I ended up taking it to the dealer and even they just let me know they can't get the VIN to populate in the ABS module. So now they are putting in a ticket to see what they find out. With my luck, the ABS module I received is bad.

Finally got my windshield replacement done last week but ran into issues with uconnect top buttons. So basically i bought a used DASM and installed it after getting the windshield done but my uconnect top button for lanesense wouldn’t do anything at all.

IMPORTANT: I used cda6 and turns out you can “enter and exit plant mode” in that. Hopefully Alfa can add that support option for RAM cruise control. Once i did that all the mismatch codes and service required messages went away and i could enable ACC. Now im guessing since its a used DASM it retained the previous calibration which is why it let me get away with that. Also in cda6 it was showing fields for auto calibration enabled so im guessing even if i didn’t do anything and drove around it will eventually calibrate itself. Some people in other forums mentioned that as well after windshield replacement and driving around DASM fixed itself.

Now my next issue was lane sense button on uc5. Initially the screen i got didn’t have the buttons from factory and while reading through the digital cluster swap TRX forum they mentioned that buttons can be swapped over and thats what i did from a donor uc5 unit that had broken screen. Turns out it’s not true as me and MannyN had found out the hard way. There is something different in the main board as well and that needs to be swapped over as well from the donor unit. So i ended up getting another screen which came with buttons and now everything is working with all used parts.

I do have dealer appointment scheduled to do the DASM alignment still but so far everything seems fine.

Thank you vincentw56 Jimmy07 MannyN and others for all the information.

UPDATE: I went to the dealer and they actually broke the DASM lol. After i left the dealer and was going home all the ACC FCW LKA AHB warnings came on. When i went back to them they made me wait another hour only to come back and tell they couldn’t work on it. I spoke to the tech and they used a actual bubble level and guesswork to make the DASM sit straight

I asked the tech to show me the service procedure and as Jimmy07 mentioned it needs to sit at -1 degrees. The document process he showed me on screen had a digital level like device but its not the same because it can read angle in negative degrees.

FIX: I do have cda6 so i decided to tackle it myself because the dealer said it will be a couple of weeks to get that “inclinometer” that reads negative degrees.

I decided to give it a shot myself. After messing around for a bit this is what i did:

The codes in DASM:

I didn’t picture this part but basically you need to take off the rearview mirror and covers around DASM.

Get yourself one of this on Amazon. The model number is in picture. Around 30$

There is a E torx screw on right side of DASM bracket. I used E6 socket and turned it clockwise/anticlockwise until i got the 91.0 degrees on the screen. Make sure the digital level is in 180 degrees mode and not 90.

The dealer had it set at 85 degrees no wonder it was freaking out

You will need to hold this digital level flat on DASM.
DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE. JUST HOLD IT GENTLY AGAINST DASM.
I measure the DASM near the right bracket, center, near the connector. I made sure all 3 spots on the back heatsink read the same 91 degrees.

After this reinstall rear view mirror and all the plastic covers.

Go into CDA6:

Start this process. You will see the cluster display FRONT RADAR SENSOR ALIGN MODE.

Disconnect from OBD and drive around. SPEED must be between 41mph and 78mph. I went on highway for 15mins.

You can check the status by randomly tapping the ACC button after a few mins and you will see the ALIGN MODE message displayed. That means its still processing.

Once it finished it will automatically display ACC FCW LKA enabled and all the warnings go away. I drove around for a bit and tested all the systems to make sure it works.

If all went well there should be no codes and you can clear everything.

Given that cda6 can do this and it also let me ENTER/EXIT plant mode, its ideal for everything we need.

Idk if AlfaOBD developer is on this forum but if he is then can Jimmy07 vincentw56 or someone tag them or send this to them? Since their app is built around cda6 they should be able to add this to Alfa and help others needing it.

The dealer wanted to charge me another 360$ for 2 shop hours because he has to physically align the DASM with the digital tool.

Jimmy07 if you know the digital level they use to read negative degrees can you link it here so someone who needs it can buy it. The one i used is a reputable one but just doesn’t do negative angles.

I wasn’t sure if -1 degree would equal to 89 or 91 degrees on this device but after a bit of messing around for hours 91 did the trick and that is correct because it has to be pointing up a bit to ignore the hood and front of truck plus have additional distance to scan ahead.

The developer isn't on here, but you can contact him through the AlfaOBD website.

How’s it going everyone,

I have a question that hopefully someone can chime in and know the answer.

I have a buddy that has a 2025 Level 0 RHO which comes with most of the options that came on the 2019+ advanced safety group (blind spot, ACC, auto high beams, FCW, etc… but one thing he’s missing is the rain sensing wipers.

Since he has the rest of the stuff, would he be able to, eventually when alfaOBD comes out with 2025+ support, add the rain sensor, add the stock and enable the feature when it’s available with AlfaOBD and that’s it? Or does he need to purchase another DASM and other parts?

This is exactly what comes on the Level 0 which might help. Thanks in advance.

The 2025s are much different. DASM isn't really the same thing anymore. The rain sensor on the 2024 and below is separate, so it should be the same on the 2025+. It's mounted in the windshield. In theory, just adding it and making changes using AlfaOBD should work.

Hmm I see online the sensor is from 2019-2024 so it for sure might be different on the 25’s

Yes, at this time, we don't know what needs to be done to make it work. But the biggest hurdle by far is the programmer.
