HOW TO: Add 360 Surround View Camera System

FYI for the Jimmy Harness

The connector plugs and not the CVPM.
The ground ring goes to the ground bolt near the CVPM.
The rest of the harness routes over to the driver side.
The fuse tap goes into F26, and the fuse that was originally in F26 goes into the open slot on the fuse tap.
The green connector plugs into any open spot on the canbus junction block behind the headlight switch.

@vincentw56 can you update the original thread with this? and add this video?

Thank you @vincentw56 and @Jimmy07 for the detailed write up and wiring. Finally got everything to work and the magical number to get front camera calibration was 2-3mph. I do see a softkey for all the cameras at bottom half of my screen except front camera. Is it normal or am i missing something to enable the front camera softkey? I can select it in the surround view at top half of screen but just wondering…

I installed everything. Now I just get “Camera System Unavailable”. Before and after the OBD changes. Any ideas what I did wrong? I connected the cable from Jimmy07 to F26 and plugged the green connector to the place it was suppose to go. Still, no cameras.

Check power and ground at cvpm connector and make sure you have right pn# for camera and cvpm. Also check radio, camera and cvpm connections aren’t mixed up.

I checked the power and ground. The CVPM part number is the one for my truck. It is brand new. I changed where the green connector on the junction block was. No change. The only thing I can think is I plugged the red (maroon) connector into the cable to the cvpm and radio.

Yeah if the cvpm has power and connected to radio you should see something on screen. Try “ecu reset” on radio in alpha 2-3 times. If still nothing then probably something isn’t connected right or faulty

It turns out that the connector in the back of the radio had come out of the plastic piece. Now it works.
