How’s your 2019 Ram running? Take our poll!

Did any of the following systems function improperly, or require repair?

On my black truck, the front edge of the fender flares as well as the bed panel in front of them are horrible. You'd think Ram could have sprung for some protective film on a $65k truck.

Sheesh!! That's after a wash?? I'm getting protective film asap.

I still have a problem with my 'mute' function disengaging when j hit a bump. I believe it relates my center stack and cluster going dark and on again when hitting pot holes.
Plus two rows for no start that has not been diagnosed.
AND my AEB (pedestrian braking for lack of a better explanation) is still not working after two different dealers were tasked with the repair.

1) My interior lights quit working at less than 1000 miles, i thought maybe some fancy switch had been turned off someplace. I know they worked when i bought it. Turns out they couldn't figure it out either so they replaced the cluster on the ceiling. Now they work again.
2) Assorted weird issues, the lights in the dash randomly turn off during the day and are some times too bright turning the night. That could be operator error.
3) The phony xzilon coating I got swindled in to buying pretty much ruined my paint. The truck had bumps all over in it when I got it back. one scratch, and some white stuff in all the badges. I brought it back, complained, they made another appointment. Re did the application. Now its worse, more bumps, more white stuff in the badges. She said maybe I got a bad paint job. I told her its not the paint but the way they are applying the phony xzilon coat. I dont' know if I am going to live with it, or return and fight more with them. I wish I wouldn't have bought the xzilon coating. :(

Did dodge do it or someone else.

Then they should be responsible for the paint job.

I only have a little over 350 miles on the Laramie so far but it is so quiet and very comfortable. I do wish the paint had less orange peel but if that is the only issue I have, I'm not going to complain too much.

13,700 miles, been to the dealer 3 times for recalls and:
ANC reflash
Squeaky Brakes (not fixed)
Wiper motor (still in shop, part on backorder, no ETA)
- Wiper motor has really ticked me off....dealer recommended calls to FCA customer service, nothing but run arounds on backorder status, and fighting over rental reimbursement, plus I am 6'6" trying to drive a loaner / rental Nissan Rogue...
Customer service is terrible....

I had the same problem, truck was in for a week with no ETA on the back ordered wiper motor. Dealer suggested I open a case with FCA. I did that and the part arrived and the truck was fixed the next day. Coincidence? Maybe, but definitely open a customer care case if you haven't already. My dealer also had me in a rental but no fight over paying for it, was never an issue.

Owned a Rebel since March. I'm very confident I'll never buy another RAM product. The dealers suck, corporate customer service sucks, and as nice as it is, the truck itself really sucks (from a dependability standpoint). It's 94* here with next to nothing for a/c, had a white knuckle drive through a rainstorm yesterday when my wipers quit (new part is backordered, eta unknown). Oh wait, more water on my carpets from said rainstorm? yep! May as well have the dealer look at the front end again which is back to making noise.

Thought I'd join some forums for help, seems like I'm not alone here with some common issues. From leaks to electronics. Sorry, don't want to come off as a whiny baby, just so frustrated at this point. My 14 f150 had less shop time in 4+ years than my new RAM has in 4 months.

Well you think the new aluminum body ford's hasn't been giving people trouble especially with all the new stuff they have been putting on them also. All dealers have been having problems with the new trucks.

3,200 miles now. A/C has been working fine but center console went black out completely while I was driving. Pulled over and shut it down and restarted engine, u-connect stayed in black out. Drive another couple of minutes, it came back as if it never happened.

2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn/Lonestar, 4x2, 5.7L V8, 3.21 axle, 20 inch wheel, 33 gallon, front/back sensor with park assist.

A/C broke on 2,550 mile, 2 month after purchase. It usually take10-15 seconds for A/C to kick in, but yesterday morning it was totally out and blowing only hot air.

Dealer told me they fixed it by Software Update. I could not believe it. Still under my test now.

Hi mike78,

I hate to hear about your experience. Before you head back into the dealer, please send me a direct message. I'd like to get this over to a Premium Specialist for further handling.

Damn, lol. As a prospective rebel buyer, coming from a 2018 tundra some of you all are making me second guess my further decision.

#1 issue I have is having the vehicle emergency brake to a complete stop while in rush hour traffic on Chicago expressway. Once from appox 35mph and again at 25mph. A miracle I wasn't rear ended each time as the vehicles were able to stop or swerve out of the way. Dash lights non existent during day time driving unless turning dash lights to max level which turns off the interior accent lighting. I stopped using android car play because system uconnect becomes unresponsive and scrolling thru sirius stations becomes an exercise in patience. Uconnect screen randomly blacks out and navigation looses all satellite locks and then becomes useless. Retractable side step not properly aligned from factory and sometimes I don't realize they retracted until I hear them retract 5 minutes into my drive. Does anyone find the driver seat crazy firm and uncomfortable? Longer drives become unbearable.

How do you open a case with FCA? I have been waiting for over a week for a part to repair pano sunroof after owning vehicle for a total of 12 hours. Really wish I had not let them cash the check. The sunshade cover snapped off when closing the shade and the dealer can't seem to get an accurate time on how long part will take to get here. We are in DFW - shouldn't take more that 1-3 days from anywhere in North America.... or better yet you would think FCA would have the part in DFW already. What are they doing with their parts inventory?

What Ford issues are you referring to? I have to say, I don’t care what issues any other truck companies have, no way the 1500 should be having so many common issues across so many different areas on the truck. The 12 inch eye candy display and the electrical system gremlins in general have got to be especially frustrating because I’ll bet it was a decider for a lot to buy a 2019 Ram.

Has anyone driven 1500 trouble free miles yet?

Is the air suspension in reality a huge improvement operationally? Anyone had to have them replaced or waiting for parts to repair yet?

Loved my sons’s 1500 from a few years back so I’m looking at the Limited trim now but this forum is an eye opener in a bad way.

I have 12K miles and although I had two recalls done, I hadn't experienced any affects the recall work was supposed to eliminate. The one and only issue I've experienced is the steering not returning to center from a slightly left turn after driving for over an hour. Besides that everything has been perfect.
