For an almost 6000lb truck, they are decent times
I agree. In the 80’s I ran my slightly modded 87 Trans Am at the strip a few times running high 14’s in 1/4 mile and pretty sure my RAM would beat it. 0-60 for sure. Truck feels just as fun to drive.

So now I’m genuinely curious: what’s the best G/T drag time out there? I see 6.7 seconds 0-60. Anyone got a better time?
On my Tazer 0-60 I routinely get 6.4 seconds on a GT clone. Must be the CAI and GT exhaust😆

Pretty sure I can do a bit better by using 4WD and turn off traction control.

Best 1/8 mile time. This was before any mods except Borla ATAK. Haven't ever matched that since. Even after lift and 275/65/20 Kenda Klever M/T tires, I would run 9.5 1/8 mile times with the Pulsar in Performance mode

It's those 3.21s

This wasn’t my truck - I lifted it off the TRX forum. I’ve never used the drag timers on mine (just never found a long lonely straight road to test it on).

Oh, no doubt. For the 1987 model, it ran 0-60 in 7.3s. Go back to the 1977 Smokey and the Bandit, it was a surprisingly crappy 9.3s.
