Had mine flashed and It literally took less than a minute. It took him a couple of minutes to look up the code, so the whole process was about 3 minutes. I know because I was right there when it was done. Luckily it didn't cost me anything.

If they charge me for anything more than 30 minutes I will be extremely pissed. My service department has already been a pain to work with and actually get them to look at most of my concerns.

While adding the controller I dropped a nut down the center consule. Anyone know where I can grab one and not pay $10 for shipping?

Some members here, actually bought 4 of each, so maybe someone will sell you one, for just postage ? (I meant to, but in my haste forgot)
If not, maybe the dealer has them in stock ?

Yea the dealers in the area has to order them and can only order 10 at a time so I have to pay for all of them. So if anyone needs them I got 9 extra lol

$57 to program my controller. I’ll take it. Shows up on the dash like it should. I’ll be pulling my car trailer this weekend so I’ll be able to confirm it actually works.

Item #2. They charged me $37.50 to add the sales code. I also purchased all the parts separately for $122 shipped so the whole job cost me less than $175 total. No complaints here!!
Installed mine earlier. Not too bad of a job. Took about 40 min. Then took it to get flashed today for $66. They wanted $135/hr. I timed them from the moment it went in to when it came out. 13:47. So I convinced them to charge me for a half hour.

About to do mine this weekend, and I was curious about the bezel removal.
Did you use a pry tool, or did you just grasp it from the top and pull back ?
I have seen youtube videos where the guy grasped the bezel at the top, and literally just snapped it back. I am too chicken, to attempt this, and would prefer to gently pry it off the dash, if that will work.
Any advise would be appreciated !
I did this today. It’s really not that bad. Once you pop the top out it all comes out easily.

If any of you who are adding this switch have saved the blank switch plate, I would love to have one or two spares - I want to drill in a toggle switch or two. Thanks!
I have a spare. Just installed my trailer brake.

$10 Shipped sound ok?

My dealer is $150 an hour. Took about the same amount of time. They charged me for 1/4 hour!

I am not going to add the factory trailer brake. But I am wondering if the control switch:
68309259ab switch instrument panel $55.62

If it can be wired to be an aux switch per say? Thinking of my exhaust cutout switch(or another project). I have seen that part for $28 online so while little more expensive than a toggle switch/it already has the factory look and snap in fit.

If anyone has a picture of the back side of the switch instrument panel, please post, or the next person installing it, please take picture of backside of switch. Thanks!!!!

Good job man. Feels good to save that much money on something most folks would get ripped off on.

I can not find anybody who has the 68277136AF brake control module in stock. Dealer said June, all others say April 29. Just bought the truck Friday and Dealer will install for free if I furnish controller kit. Just checking to see if anybody has a source who may have it sooner. Thanks first post and already moaning Sorry

I couldn’t find the kit but there is an earlier thread in here that has all the parts listed in the kit. That’s what I purchased and it came within a week. Here is the list of parts I purchased from MoparAmerica

This is what I got from MoparAmerica, a rust bracket, talked to them over the emails, looks like they do not want to do an exchange, I am not sure if I should install a rust bracket to my new truck...

Is it just surface rust??? I'd try spraying and cleaning and then I'd just install. It's not structural at all. Just holds the controller in place. I'm guessing you could tape the controller under the dash as well if you didn't want to use it all.

My bracket was the same way. I installed it as it came. Wasn't going to waste more time on my leased truck and no one will ever see it.

Yes I tried them and the module is on back-order until about April 29. The Ram service department gave me a line about a redesign is the reason the parts are on hold. I was glad to find this thread so I can save over half when they have all the individual parts in stock. Thanks
