FINALLY INSTALLED! 2019 BIGHORN w/ Readylift 3.5" Kit with Bilstein 5100's front and 5160 Resi's in the rear.

I actually already have done this setup before you responded. Same setup but different tires, toyo open country at3 295/65r20. Very much like it. Perfect height, ride is still really good i'd say.
I am curious to see pictures too...I am looking at a 285 vs 295 though. You mentioned ride comfort, so it sounds like the 65 sidewall height is not giving you any problems, yea? Also, are you running 3.21 or 3.95 in the rear?
 
Newb question here as this is my first truck I am building on my own, can you stack a tophat spacer on the adjustable 5100 for more height past setting 7? I want to do the 5100 front and 5160 resi in the back but I want to make it to 3.5" in the front at least. If not possible, can I get to 3.5" in the front with bilsteins at all or do I need to find a different route? Thanks, and sorry if this is hijacking, just want to get along the same build with a little more height.

I get a little bit of rub at full lock in reverse, just need to find time to get under there and either pull it back with zip ties or heat it up and bend it back. I'm running 3.92 rear.

You could do that, but those 5100s at setting 7 are going to be quite stiff imo. Go for like a 2" top hat spacer and setting 4 or 5 on the bilstein to retain some comfort.

Awesome, I was more just wondering if you could throw a top spacer on an adjustable strut and be fine. I'm already on a 2.5" motofab level so I could just run bilsteins at a 3 or 4 and throw that spacer on top. Don't know if I would feel too much of a difference in a 1.5-2" spacer and a higher adjustment on the 5100 to buy a new spacer. Correct me if I am wrong though, this is the first truck I am doing without my dad since I moved so I am all ears. Any information is good information

That's exactly what this thread is about. I have an RL 3.5" kit. Removed the preload spacer from the kit, and I run 5100's at #4 with the RL Kits 2" tophat spacer w/ UCA's. You could go to #5 for a little more front end lift. I have 1" of rake. If you use the Motofab 2.5" and 5100's I'd use something less than 4. You are also gonna need UCA's

Thanks for not being a **** about it. Also, is there a chart anywhere that you know of that shows what each setting on the 5100 is height wise? I saw it earlier today in a thread and do not remember where and I can't seem to find it anywhere now

Well I've been sitting on my RL Kit for over a tear trying to decide on what I wanted to do. Well here she is, looks great. rides great so far. Slightly firmer but not near as firm as my BMW X5. Road perfect through some winding roads, held corners well, less sway than the ride to the shop this morning. Decided to go with setting #4 on the 5100's and of course I didn't have the preload spacer installed, just the tophat spacer. Won't know how it will feel offroad until I go MTBing again. Measured 25" in front and 25.5" in the rear from center of the hub to the fender. Just have to decide on tires now. Just trying to decide on tires, leaning towards a Milestar Patagonia MT 295/60r20 or 275/65r20, Radar Renegade XT 35x11.5 or 275/62r20, and Kunati Trail Hog 275/65r20. Here are some pics, I forgot to take one before install so the last one is an older pic.

Awesome looking truck!! I’m on the same boat as you, but you think it’ll be alright to just install the front Bilstein 5100s, and leave the rear shocks at stock (Ram rebel 1500)
 
Well I've been sitting on my RL Kit for over a tear trying to decide on what I wanted to do. Well here she is, looks great. rides great so far. Slightly firmer but not near as firm as my BMW X5. Road perfect through some winding roads, held corners well, less sway than the ride to the shop this morning. Decided to go with setting #4 on the 5100's and of course I didn't have the preload spacer installed, just the tophat spacer. Won't know how it will feel offroad until I go MTBing again. Measured 25" in front and 25.5" in the rear from center of the hub to the fender. Just have to decide on tires now. Just trying to decide on tires, leaning towards a Milestar Patagonia MT 295/60r20 or 275/65r20, Radar Renegade XT 35x11.5 or 275/62r20, and Kunati Trail Hog 275/65r20. did you keep the rear spacer from the 3.5” readylift on? Also, did you have to change the stock coils - when upgrading to the 5100s?

No you can use the same spring, some are using the ORD springs to get an extra 1"

Front: RL 's Top hat spacer plus Stock Spring on 's at Setting #4 w/ the RL 3.5" kits UCA's (did no use kits Preload Sapcer).

Rear: RL's 2" Spring Spacer on Stock Springs, w/ Bilstein 5160's (which are good for up to a 2" lift).

My measurements are 41" to fender up front and 42" to fender in the rear so 1" of rake. I may swap the springs to ORP in the front to firm the spring rate up a bit. If they lift the front too much I may have to drop the 5100's to #3. After the shocks break in period, I kinda preferred the feel of them right after install...felt more planted, but still feels really good but a lot softer than I prefer. If the ORP springs don't give me the feel I want I'll probably go for FOX 3" coilovers w/ DSC adjusters and a 1/2" spacer on top. I run Fox Factory stuff on all my mountain bikes so I know I can tune them to feel exactly how I want them to feel.

Do you know of any Fox shocks that I could replace my front bilsteins - from the ram rebel? I want a pair of adjustable shocks from Fox, to gain 2” of lift

did you still have 35x12.50? if so any rubbing? I have same rims and like to keep them
 
Yes, there’s no rubbing with the 3.5” lift - but when I took off the preloaded spacer - I needed to cut a bit as it was rubbing

I have a 2020 Ram rebel - would have the ORP springs. How much lift does setting #4 on the bilsteins 5100s give? I'm looking to get 2" of lift from those shocks, to get back to a level/higher look up front (Currently running the 3.5" readylift, with the 2" rear spacer/ and without the preloaded spacer)

Hi, will these Bilstein 5100s be able to lift the 2019 ram rebel? Also, what is the part #? Thank you
