You are not missing anything, they are nothing but clerks, no idea what is in a truck, how it works , let alone how to fix it. They don't force the dealers to do anything - it's a fake program to make you think something is actually being done about your problem.

And according to him a thermapen pro isn’t accurate to read vent temps. Bwahahahaaaaaa. The battle begins.
