Comfort Setting Popup

Would think they would announce "other issues" will be addressed.

While this still hasn't been fixed I did find another fun thing which may or may not be linked. I had my dash intensity turned all the way up to compensate for the diming it tried to do because my headlights are on all the time. I noticed this past weekend that when I adjust the intensity from full (one notch below the overhead light) down the display screen switches over to the climate control screen. At this point I think I'm just stuck with the paper on my dash covering the sensor for the near future.

Still no fix for this. Ram should start compensating owners for this issue they are ignoring.

It's not a safety issue. And more of an annoyance than anything. Do you really expect RAM to compensate owners for this when there are active safety recals that don't have a fix? It's been shown how to stop it from happening, to get you by until they figure out the issue and update the software

Covering the sensor doesn't work for everyone and not for me. It is distracting and takes attention away from the road. Regardless a brand new vehicle shouldn't be having these issues. Being told to just put up with it isn't an acceptable response from Ram.

This issue has been going on for how long? Since April for me. Is there was monetary penalty imposed on Ram then maybe there would be a fix?

Then you get into Lemon law territory with an issue that hasn't been fixed after a certain number of attempts

Unfortunately I've been told by the Consumer Protection Office of Manitoba that the "Lemon Law" is no longer valid in MB.

That's stupid, so they basically got rid of any buyer protection.

I finally fixed the many issues I had with this truck. I sold it and bought a 2024 1500GT.

This sun load sensor was the first annoyance. I figured this fix out.
The dial absolutely sucks.
The 90's camcorder picture quality on the reverse camera was second. No Fix unless you rewire
Weak *** stereo on the 8.4 Uconnect was 3rd - Replace with Workshop 12 unit?
Seat heaters that would not stay on was 4th - Replace the stock with Katzkin.

On the plus side, I still prefer the looks of the gen 4. Mine was a Harvest Sunrise edition. It looked like a 2018 Sport Model. I ended up calling it Trooper. It was a 3 dressed up as a 9.

At the end of the day, I came to a few conclusions:
- The Ram Classics are built cheap with sub-par components throughout
- Ram will not fix the issues as they could not care less about Gen 4 Rams.

This GT is a great truck so far...

It does work for everyone, including you.
It can be finicky if any light gets to it. Take some black tape and completely cover it.
I had mine covered for 9 months and I did not notice any other issues I could peg on it.
Try it and see for yourself.

Anybody know if there is a recent update for uc5, and what the ver # is?

Please tell me you have found a solution to this. I just picked up my 2023 Ram 1500 Classic a few weeks ago and this pop up has been driving me crazy, especially when using google maps because it pops up at random and covers the bottom of the screen / directions. Climate control on auto, I thought maybe it was telling me when it turned on / off the fan but that doesn't seem to be it. My backup camera also looks like technology from a decade plus ago.
Could it have something to do with car play hookup or android auto

It did the same thing to me after they replaced the uconnect module and before I synced anything to it so doubtful. I'm just driving around a truck with a sirus xm brochure on the dash for the past year.

Is there any way to tell if an over the air update was completed on the truck. Never had a message pop up.
