Comfort Setting Popup

I will give that a shot, I just don't like the idea of my lights being on all the time. Hopefully there will be a software update for Uconnect that fixes it but I'm not holding my breath.

Like I said give it a try. If it works go back to dealer. Ask them to open a star case on it. The more owners who report/complain about the issues the faster they will come up with a fix.

I assume you have to cover the sensor well enough so the headlights go on?

Covering the sensor BEFORE I started the car seemed to work. Once I uncovered it the pop-up started again. Then I covered it while I was driving and the pop-up would still show up.

Ok so heres the thing. When I cover the sensor with the SiriusXM brochure the comfort setting pop-up does stop coming up completely. So, yea, the comfort pop-up is absolutely related to that sensor somehow. However, when I cover the sensor, my headlights do not come on even though they are set to auto. Is it just because its daytime and it can still sense the daylight? I have not driven at night yet as I just got the truck a few days ago, but I find it strange that my lights do not come on when covered.

Your truck needs to be in Drive to have the lights come on when the sensor is covered so if you just covered it in the parking lot and walked around to the front they will not be on.

I had the sensor replaced this morning and it did not fix the issue, still getting consistent pop ups with it uncovered.

I am interested in seeing the outcome. I contacted my dealer about the issue and they said it is simply popping up because I am using android auto and it wants to tell me the comfort setting. But it pops up even not in android auto so, yeah.
My dealer tried to tell me it was caused by an issue with apple car play. Until they did a complete factory reset on the ent center and I was getting pop ups without any phones connected. So far they checked for a loose connection, replaced the head unit, replaced the daylight sensor and still haven't fixed the issue.

I'm betting it's a software glitch in the matrix. Try to get hold of NEO for help. :p

Thanks for the update. Now I know I don't need to bring it in lol. As far as the headlights go it's weird, when I cover the sensor during the day the lights don't come on. But at night when it's naturally dark out the lights come on no problem at all. Wondering if there's a secondary sensor or some other factor?

Potentially also tied into the auto-dim mirror sensor? Not saying that's it, just a guess

Hopefully the software update scheduled for the end of July fixes this issue.

I have the same problem. I managed to get pics. I'm also curious, my friend bought his truck at the same time as me but his display is pretty different. His has the Uconnect apps button etc, and the whole display looks a little more polished than mine, but they're both supposed to be Uconnect5. Does having NAV (mine doesn't, his does) change the whole interface?

Yes, the Nav units are different

I thought it might be connected to that as well, but after a factory reset at the dealership I saw it pop up on the way home several times before I reconnected my phone at all to the system again. I have however noticed that it only pops up when the climate system is on. If the system (fan) is off entirely it won’t pop up.
Also, I noticed that this seems to have been a problem on the previous software version too I’m guessing from the looks of the difference in how my screen looks versus the guy who posted the pictures near the top of the thread. Like mine looks more advanced with the same problem so to speak. Which is mind-boggling.
Hello, I found this forum when researching a fix for this climate control popup problem. I have a 2023 RAM Classic Tradesman 4x4 and my screen looks just like josewagn's. I agree with everyone that this is very frustrating. It never fails when you need to have a text read or end a call the popup is right there in the way. It is also very distracting while driving too, because you see it out of the corner of your eye every time it pops up

I am going to try covering up the sensor when I leave work today (07/12/2024) to see if it works. If it does I will take it to the dealer and tell them to open a star case.

I covered the sensor and it worked, the climate control did not popup once yesterday or this morning. Going to go to dealer and have them submit a star case

Has anybody made any progress with this ?. I'm still driving around with the sensor covered and while that works it seems pretty half a**ed for a $50k+ truck.

Have you taken it back to the dealer after seeing that covering the sensor "fixed" the issue?

Yep, multiple times. The first time they "found a loose connection" and then they ordered and replaced the entertainment console and then they replaced the dash sensor. It's still an issue (guessing sofware bug) but they don't seem to be in a hurry to fix it.

Im still having the same issue. Was told there was a software update coming out at the end of July but think it's a bs stall tactic.
