It's not a safety issue. And more of an annoyance than anything. Do you really expect RAM to compensate owners for this when there are active safety recals that don't have a fix? It's been shown how to stop it from happening, to get you by until they figure out the issue and update the softwareStill no fix for this. Ram should start compensating owners for this issue they are ignoring.
Covering the sensor doesn't work for everyone and not for me. It is distracting and takes attention away from the road. Regardless a brand new vehicle shouldn't be having these issues. Being told to just put up with it isn't an acceptable response from Ram.It's not a safety issue. And more of an annoyance than anything. Then you get into Lemon law territory with an issue that hasn't been fixed after a certain number of attemptsCovering the sensor doesn't work for everyone and not for me. This issue has been going on for how long? Since April for me. Is there was monetary penalty imposed on Ram then maybe there would be a fix?
Unfortunately I've been told by the Consumer Protection Office of Manitoba that the "Lemon Law" is no longer valid in MB.Then you get into Lemon law territory with an issue that hasn't been fixed after a certain number of attempts
That's stupid, so they basically got rid of any buyer protection.Unfortunately I've been told by the Consumer Protection Office of Manitoba that the "Lemon Law" is no longer valid in MB.

Could it have something to do with car play hookup or android autoPlease tell me you have found a solution to this. I just picked up my 2023 Ram 1500 Classic a few weeks ago and this pop up has been driving me crazy, especially when using google maps because it pops up at random and covers the bottom of the screen / directions. Climate control on auto, I thought maybe it was telling me when it turned on / off the fan but that doesn't seem to be it. My backup camera also looks like technology from a decade plus ago.
It did the same thing to me after they replaced the uconnect module and before I synced anything to it so doubtful. I'm just driving around a truck with a sirus xm brochure on the dash for the past year.Could it have something to do with car play hookup or android auto
Used a tinfoil tart plate and it still didn't work. Must be another sensor somewhere. It does work for everyone, including you.
It can be finicky if any light gets to it. Take some black tape and completely cover it.
I had mine covered for 9 months and I did not notice any other issues I could peg on it.
Try it and see for yourself.
Ok,
I have been following this post for a while.
I finally had a chance to get my truck into the shop here in Calgary Alberta.
The tech working on my truck this it is the Radio Module. I will preface that I know nothing about vehicles, but I don’t think I have read anybody having the radio module replaced.
I will keep everyone posted, they said the part should be in in about 2-3 weeks and then I will book my appointment than.
Wish me luck, I hate the pop up so much!
