TLDR. Culprit is the brakes. =)

If we really think it is the brakes then how do I go about getting it fixed? I mentioned all this online information to the dealership as I also believe it is the brakes, and they still said they can't do anything for me. I mentioned all the online information to the case manager through Chrysler yesterday, and she told me their work network is "so locked down" that she can't get on the forums/youtube/ or open an email attachment with my video.

This is definitely the anti rattle brake clips. I had this issue on my 2019, spray the clips with WD-40 and it disappears for some time. Came back and recently I had my entire brake setup replaced under warranty and the issue has gone away so far.

What year is your truck? I’d help if you put that in your sig ;)

2020 Laramie- issue started at 700 miles, now I have 3000.
Thanks. Hmmm, interesting. On mine they replaced the calipers, but only because mine is an early build and they had been redesigned. In your case your calipers would already be the correct ones, so more than likely it’s the anti-rattle clips.

Dealer should still be able to remedy this. If they say they can’t, I’d find another dealer if possible.

Unfortunately you need to find a new dealership or fix it yourself. They are hoping you give up and go away

What a shame.. you would think a customer that bought a $50k 20 wrangler and a $56k 20 Ram in the same week would get better service than this!

You would, but in reality, once you sign on the dotted line and pay for your truck, most dealers don’t want anything to do with you (not all, but most). Sad but true.

2020 rebel and I have a chirp going over larger bumps only right now. I was going to wait for my first oil change to bring it up at the dealer but it’s good to see that I should try and steer them in the brakes direction

I have the same chirp. My Jeep Wrangler had the chirp. A couple of Ford trucks I owned had the chirp. I've never heard the chirp on a vehicle without a solid rear axle, so I've always assumed it's something to do with the suspension components on the rear axle.

It doesn't bother me so I never tried to track it down.

Well I have a 2021 Laramie and the chirping sound does not happen over bumps. It is happening as I am driving and gets faster as I go faster. Took it in three weeks ago with 2K miles on it. No fix as of yet. Taking it to local mechanic now

I had a similar noise on my 2020 Limited and surprisingly it was not in the suspension. I traced the squeak to a wire bundle under the drivers side frame rail. Basically, if you lay down under the driver side door and look up at the frame rail, where it starts to bend upward there is a wire bundle that is routed between the body and the forward cab mount. It was rubbing in between the cab and frame and every time I would go over a larger bump it would chirp. The fix was easy, I used a cable tie to pull the wire bundle away from the pinch point and the chirp/squeak went away. Haven’t come back in 12000 miles. Hope this helps someone.

I just noticed this on my limited w/ 3k miles now when going over some jarring little pot holes near my house with the windows down. Cant say how long it’s been going on since it’s only recently been warm enough to have windows all the way down. I’ll try the brake line and wire tie fix to see if it helps at all.

So I have had this chirp for about a year. I occasionally spray my brake clips on all four wheels with mountain bike stanchion lubricant. It happens on all four corners of mine as far as I can tell. Of course any wet weather washes away the lubricant so I end up doing this about every 2 weeks. It totally eliminates the chirp temporarily.

Hi all,

I do apologize for the frustration associated with this concern. If you bring it to the attention of your dealers, please be sure to let me know so that I may escalate cases on your behalf for further support through that process!

Hi Mark,

I just took my '21 Limited in today for the exact same sound coming from the exact same area as was posted by the OP. Any chance you can assist with it? It's also in for 2 other things. 700+ miles on a brand new truck and it's got me concerned that I have 3 issues already. Please advise, thanks.

I never experienced this on the 2020 Laramie I drove for 18 months, or my current 2021 Limited. I also haven't noticed it on the wife's 2020 Limited. But then again we don't drive on dirt or gravel very often. I'll have to see if I can hear it when I drive on one of the rougher streets around town.

I also have the same squeak or chirp that is shown on the numerous videos on this forum. I had my 2020 limited at the dealer three times for this issue. First time I got the usual "could not duplicate noise" response. The second time they kept the truck for two days and said they heard the noise and they retorqued all suspension parts. Noise is still there. Then I had it in for three days with the result of "we can't find any bad components" They explained they have to return bad parts to Chrysler and if Chrysler says the part is OK then the dealer has to pay for it. I mentioned the brake pad clips TSB but they said it didn't apply to my VIN. So the dealer said to keep driving it and hope it gets to the point that they can find a bad part. This is what you get when you pay 60k for a truck from Ram. Now I have to put up with a squeak and hope it gets bad enough for the dealer to find the problem and fix it while I'm still under warranty. I guess when the warranty runs out then it becomes my problem. NOT HAPPY!

I’m having this same issue with my 2022 bighorn. Chirps when I hit bumps and chirps when I brake at low speeds. Truck has 1500 miles on it
