Well, we are out on our annual trip to the river (got here last friday).

My son and I were over the bank fishing, and relaxing as we haven't had camp neighbors since we got here.

Then I see a camper pull up. Doesn't quite go far enough to back in the spot beside us, so I figure is across the road as I see him start to back up...nope, backs right into my truck.

Looks like his bumper lined up right with my tow hooks. I can not really see any damage, didn't even brush off the bugs, but his new camper has a nice dent in it.

Guess I see why the tow hooks are part of the protection group. I believe they saved my bumper. Can not imagine he did any other damage. Will take it for a drive later.

Of course when my wife mentioned to him that he hit the truck got out said I don't see no damage, then looked at his bumper and acted like it was her fault. Gotta love people.

That is a portion of Glendale lake in the one. That is where the campground is.

Was hoping to see the Bald Eagles but didn't.

Doing some Florida camping near Orlando. We’re in Wekiwa Springs state park. Full hookups and $24/night . Visiting with our son and his expecting wife. Waiting for the birth of our first grandchild any day now.

It’s 250 miles from home. Still impressed how well this combination tows. Got only 9 mpg this trip tho.

One week update. We had 3 days this week with wind advisories. And apparently my phone needs to take these pics at sunset. They are nowhere near as vibrant as they are to the naked eye. I thought the blue sky would help, but it made it worse.

Checked out some dispersed camping sites over the past few weekends.

We love our travel trailer, but do not love the extra crowds. It is great from March to may and then after labor day to November, but in the middle we are going to try this to get away.

Plus, they are free and are in prime hiking, biking, and river areas. 20200201_172008.jpg 20200201_165443.jpg 20200201_165352.jpg 20200208_163151.jpg 20200208_154845.jpg

Took my set up to the scales. Lots of room to grow. Screenshot_20200526-084249~2.png
This was after we removed a bunch of stuff and with empty tanks.

40 more days until regular season camping opens here in PA. More than excited to tow the weekend home to a spot in the woods.

Going to be an interesting year again...as the parks are already booked for many weekends. Gonna have to be on the look out for cancellations.

Yeah we are going to make our last Fishing trip next week up to Lake of the Woods then we have a couple months off until our first camping trip. It’s the same here in MN. Everything is booked already, good thing the wife and the ladies booked all the trips ahead of time. Most of the places we go we make our reservation for the next year while we are there. I think we have 3 or 4 trips planned at resorts and then we do a couple trips out to friends places that have land. I need to start taking more pictures of our camping trips, we’ve been to some pretty cool places.

We placed an order for a custom built aluminum framed RV/Fish house to replace our current one. Going to be a tough 4 month wait for it but we are holding onto ours until that one is done so we won’t be without
