It would be really helpful if someone posts a long term review of the 5100 installed on a orp/rebel without the u.c.a's. eventually all of us will take our orp trucks for some high speed off roading and if that does wear out the ball joints shouldn't we be proactive and avoid the potential risk, especially on a 60k truck. Just food for thought. -cheers !!

I would guess you’d be good on a 5 based on ORPs I’ve seen with that height. I got my alignment right away

Just wondering if anyone had any direct comparisons between the 5100's and/or other upgrades vs. just doing the Mopar lift? By the time you get Bilstein's all the way around and ORP springs, plus Mopar or other UCA's aren't you close to what the Mopar kit costs w/ Fox shocks? Just wondering how the two set ups compare head to head?

No comparison for you, but you’re definitely not equal cost between the two options.

The Mopar kit will run you $1000 for front only, and you can get the Bilstein setup for $400 for all 4 corners.

The consensus here is that you don’t need different UCAs with 3” or less front lift, and certainly you don’t need different springs on the 5100 kit. Both the Mopar and Bilstein shocks use the factory springs.

Honestly, both are 2” shock bodies, with the same spring. I wouldn’t anticipate much for noticeable ride difference.

Makes sense @ eltaco, I guess i was referring to the the complete Mopar Kit, which I think sells between $1200-$1400 vs. going with Bilsteins+ORP Springs+ some sort of UCA, although really not needed at these lift levels. Seems a lot of people are contemplating that route, but once you put that together I would think you are close to even to the Mopar kit? Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know how much the UCA's are from Mopar if you buy individually but I know some of the other aftermarket offerings can be quite expensive.

I also wonder what the performance/ride differences would be between the two?

Thanks Bhew. Does anyone know if you can buy the mopar UCA's separately and if so how much they are?

Yes, around $50 ea. I don’t have the link but have seen it posted here in the discussion.

I just had the 5100s.installed . I have a Non- Off Road truck. Set the ring on #4. I was surprised at how much the front came up on #4. On level surface I'm showing about 3/4" height diff between back to front....back is higher.

Based on pics, does it appear to be installed correctly?

Yep, looks good to me!

It might settle a little bit. I think mine settled a bit less than 1/4”

So is anyone running theirs on setting 7? I ordered my rears and got my rear spacer in the mail yesterday. Hoping to get around to installing these sometime here in the next few weeks.

Put a 4 ft level on the body underneath the doors, the fender wells don’t tell the story, these trucks have to be 1” higher in the back for the body itself to be level

Finally got mine done. Install went much quicker removing the lower A-arm compared to the install I did on my 2017. Went with setting #5. 4x4 Laramie, front was just over 2.5" lower stock. Measuring to the bottom of fender I am now 1/4" lower in the front. 275/65r20 Michelin LTX A/T2.

Anyone have a recommended site for getting the bilsteins during COVID? Bilsteinliftkits doesn't have the 5100s in stock

What is everyone paying to have a set of UCA's and billsteins installed? Looking into how much I could expect to spend in total on this mod.

Finally got them installed on setting #5 along with a wheel balance. Looks great, feels great driving. However I find that I’m about 1/5” higher up front than back. Maybe it needs to settle?

Sweet set up, I wish I waited to get the pano roof but just pulled the trigger on a truck on the lot. I went with #4 just to make sure I kept a bit of rake. Almost twins IMG_1288.jpg
