Thank you. Back to the drawing board...
The Bilstein shocks come with adapters to fit the small spring seats of non rebel shocks. Simply don't install the adapter and the rebel spring seats perfectly. The 5100s and the Rebel Bilstein are the same diameter and use the exact same method to hold the spring seat. The yellow Bilstein is stock for the rebel. Spring seat is being held the exact same way the 5100s are held on without the adapter. They do fit rebels!

WHAT? that's amazing news. will the rebels achieve the same front end lift with the 5100's as the non-rebels?

They will achieve the same height as the ORP trucks. Here are the install instructions with the ORP heights highlighted:

With the ORP or Rebel springs and 5100s you are netting about a 3" lift over a stock non ORP or Rebel.

wow thats awesome, thank you! I take it there have been some guys who are already running these on their rebels? this is the first that i've heard about this as you can probably tell lol. Had the 5100's on my 4th gen big horn and loved them and would like them on my rebel.

So basically, i need to follow the ORP instructions for my rebel, and the only difference is to not use the spring seat adapter

I did them a different way. Someone on the forum was selling a set of ORP struts assemblies cheap on the forum so I snatched them up to do the 5100 install on them. Then just swapped the Rebel strut assemblies out for the new 5100 built assemblies. Be running them for about 500 miles now.

im assuming the rebels have a stiffer spring rate to achieve a higher ride height than a big horn or laramie

nice glad it worked out for you.
Rebel and Off Road Package trucks have a different spring and shock than non Rebel/ORP trucks.
i guess im just waiting to confirm with someone whos installed the 5100's on the rebel on the rebel's shocks (not the ORP - i'd rather just keep the OEM shocks that i currently have on the truck). If anyone has successfully done this, please chime in!

Hopefully bilstein will begin selling a 5100 set for the rebel's that simply doesnt have the spring seat adapter... seems simple enough to me

FYI, if you are looking for both fronts and rears, there is a great deal for $400 for the full set. I ordered Tuesday night and they are scheduled for delivery Friday. The site said out of stock when I ordered but got a tracking number the next day.

How is everyone's ride quality with the ORG springs at setting number 5? This appears to be about equivalent to the ORG springs on the mopar lift.

will these need UCA's on a rebel? or are we fine with just the bilsteins?

The thing about a preload style lift is droop travel doesn't really suffer, stroke travel does. UCA's are needed when droop travel needs to be longer, so it would definitely not need long UCA's like say a 3" top spacer. However, since the Mopar lift UCA does indeed have a little further ball joint travel, and it's designed for the mopar kit (which is a preload style believe it or not) i would snag a set of the Mopar UCA's to be safe. Just my educated .02c

thank you, makes sense. Ran the 5100's hard on my 4th gen big horn and never had any issues on the stock UCA's, but the rebel's are a little different and what you mentioned about the mopar uca's is a good idea. im torn between doing this setup or doing the readylift front level w/ the uca's
