Did you replace the UCA’s also?Bilstein all the way !!!!!!!!!! Yeah that was 10 exclamation points , you will not lose any ride quality at all , unless you just like throwing money away then go with the Mopar lift , just put my 5100’s on a few weeks ago and they are bad *** , listen to the hype , it’s true
Yeah but wasn’t necessaryDid you replace the UCA’s also?
Fo sho. Had them on my Tacoma and they were phenomenal.Did you replace the UCA’s also?
Even if it doesn't say on the window sticker that it has ORP???View attachment 59038
Nice. Sounds like you got a good deal in the end. How’s your MPG? I’m hovering at 14 in the city with 3.21s but I only have 1K miles on itYou all saw my window sticker. I brought them down to $48k after negotiating, it had some rebates and after TT&L and some warranties, it went back up to $57K out the door. However, I had a 2015 Ford F150 before. Some mods. Completely paid off. Low miles. Perfect condition. My brother had been wanting to buy it from me. Dealership wanted to give me $24k for it. My brother offered me $25k. So I gave that check to thr dealership and I only financed $27K. 3%apr.
Sorry, just to be clear. All you did was add Bilstein 5100's to achieve the lift? Did you already have something before adding the shocks? Is there a spacer? Still using the stock springs? I know you mentioned in other posts you added UCA but that they are not necessary. Finally got my Bilsteins put on yesterday and they actually gave me 2.5 inches of lift on setting #6 , I started out with 10-1/2” inches from bottom of fender to top of 20 wheel, now measuring 13 to the top of the wheel, I guess because the truck has only 2500 miles on it, no lift on rear yet as Amazon is slow these days , but truck rides a little stiffer but very good ! No complaints
I'm at 12.5-13 on average, in the city. With 3.92 gears. I have about 2k miles on it so far.Nice. Sounds like you got a good deal in the end. How’s your MPG? I’m hovering at 14 in the city with 3.21s but I only have 1K miles on it
Just Bilsteins nothing else, stock springs alsoSorry, just to be clear. All you did was add Bilstein 5100's to achieve the lift? Did you already have something before adding the shocks? Measuring what part ? Front measures 12-1/2” from bottom of the fender to the top of the wheel, I always refer to this measurement because it is alot easier to get this measurement compared to the middle of the wheelwhat is the height of the truck now?
Unless your intention is to have a mall crawler lolThere is no need to spend 2000 dollars on a lift, just get the Bilsteins and you are good to go for a fraction of the price
Which is most likely what 95% of you have, let’s be honestUnless your intention is to have a mall crawler lol
Thanks for your opinion on my bad advice... but I’m passing along actual information from Bilsteins engineering team from asking this question. Their website says the 5100 accommodates 1” of lift, but doesn’t specify if that’s from a stock non-ORP, or ORP, so I wrote to have them clarify. So this isn’t me screwing around, and you can see the email below for better clarity.
The 5100 will accommodate 1” extra lift along with ORP springs.
That means a non-ORP could accommodate 2” of lift with a 5100, since they designed it for 1” lift in addition to a stock ORP.
From that info, we can safely assume the 1.5” lift (from a non-ORP) with Icon rear spring is also sufficient.
With measuring this way, my truck, stock, is at 11 inches front and 12.5 inches rear. I would like to run 35 x 12.5 on my 20 inch stock rimsMeasuring what part ? You need an 1-1/2" to 1-3/4" to get clearance to do so,as long as the tire is not a true 35" tall tire , mine measure 34.1With measuring this way, my truck, stock, is at 11 inches front and 12.5 inches rear. I would like to run 35 x 12.5 on my 20 inch stock rims
