Finally got my Bilsteins put on yesterday and they actually gave me 2.5 inches of lift on setting #6 , I started out with 10-1/2” inches from bottom of fender to top of 20 wheel, now measuring 13 to the top of the wheel, I guess because the truck has only 2500 miles on it, no lift on rear yet as Amazon is slow these days , but truck rides a little stiffer but very good ! No complaints

Looks great! I had the 5100’s on my last truck and the icon rear lift springs. I’m toying with running that set up again or doing the Mopar fox lift. What size tires are you running?

There is no need to spend 2000 dollars on a lift, just get the Bilsteins and you are good to go for a fraction of the price

I’ll still spent $2000 either way. 5100s in the front 5160s in the rear with icon rear springs and icon UCA’s. Even with the Mopar lift I’m still doing the icon rear springs at a minimum.

So you would have Bilsteins 5100 in the front, along with the Icon UCA and 5160s in the rear with Icon Springs? That would give you a max height of what? 3.5" front and 2" Rear? I'm in the market for something like this. One of the other members was saying the 3.5" Ready Lift with 5100 front and 5160 back. Since the RL kit comes with new UCA already.

Before I respond ElJoe let me ask do you have the off-road package or a rebel? What length of bed do you have?

Does your truck have ORG? Do your tires rub? Also what brand tires? Thanks!

I have a 2020 BigHorn 4x4 with a 5' 7" bed. No offroad package.
First off the 3.5 ready lift kit is for looks and it is advised not to be off road because of CV angles . So if you plan on doing anything more than a dirt road this is not the kit for you. With the current truck set up you have the 5100s will lift the front of your truck 2.6 inches at maximum height. The icon springs in the rear will lift the rear 1.5 inches. If your bed is bigger than the 5.7 there is less lift which is why I asked.
As far as control arms go you can get any aftermarket control arm you desire and it will be an upgrade overstock.

The reason why I am specifically going with icon springs and UCA’s with the 5100/5160 combo It’s because I have experience with it on my last truck (2015 1500) and it worked very well. I did a lot of actual off roading in Idaho where I live. A lot of the jeep guys were surprised how well I could keep up with them. (Not rock crawling) I was very impressed with how the ride quality was and the icon springs are 25% softer than factory until a load is placed on them then it becomes 75% stiffer. That bed didn’t squat much at all loaded. I had 30 rolls of sod in the back of it and the truck was level, slight rake unloaded.

The icon upper control arms are overpriced but very good quality and have the best ball joint on the market.
The Mopar kit with the fox shocks are nice but I want the rear springs upgraded... not just a spacer.
I’ve seen a lot of lifted trucks when I worked at the ram dealer and I personally don’t like strut top Spacers. They get the job done but not very well and the factory shocks are in the same category. You don’t have to do the icon upper control arms but if you were my friend or family member I would strongly suggest the Mopar lift kit or the 5100/5160 Route. It’s worth the money.

MarkB67, I’ve read through multiple threads and I’m leaning toward the 5100/5160 route. No rear springs but adding a 1.5 spacer and setting front at #6. My question is what is the overall height of your truck with the tires. I only have 80” to get in the garage. If I did my math correct, I should be fine but can’t find anywhere on here that shows overall height with different lifts.

Ok, after waiting a year to decide what to do I still am on the fence. First it was Mopar lift with level , then Bilstein level, now thinking Bilstein with Icon the rear spring.....
I have a two wheel drive , very little off road work but would like a little more height maybe 2” in front 1” in back , coupled with 285/60 tires on stock 20” wheels. Not a fan of spacers. Money not an issue. Just don’t want to loose my ride quality.

Then based upon my read my suggestion is the Bilstein set up. Generally I always suggest for that height increase staying with Mopar but again that’s just my suggestion. :)

Bilstein all the way !!!!!!!!!! Yeah that was 10 exclamation points , you will not lose any ride quality at all , unless you just like throwing money away then go with the Mopar lift , just put my 5100’s on a few weeks ago and they are bad *** , listen to the hype , it’s true

I plan on getting the Thunder Ranger RT 35X12.5 but could possibly go 285X60 R20 if that saves me a 1/4 inch
They may not have that size available, go 35x12.50R20 you won’t be sorry, these trucks have large fender well openings and if you go with a smaller tire it will look lost in the fender well
