Beep or humming noise coming through speakers

I have a 2019 Big horn that will make a beeping noise over the speakers randomly. I have brought it in before to my local dealer and they said it was amp and active noise canceling issues, so they replaced the amp. That was replaced November before Thanksgiving and today it started again. Truck was not running and I was listening to the XM radio. I touched the app button on Uconnect when it started making the high pitch beep or hum. With the old amp I could shut the truck off for awhile and that would stop the sound or switch inputs on the back of the steering wheel and that would stop it. I tried the input switch today when the noise started and that did not work. I assume the noise stopped now (truck has been shut off for a couple of hours). Anyone else have this problem? I plan on calling dealer tomorrow to set up another appointment since new amp did not solve problem. I did get the sound on video again to show dealer. Tried to post video here but it was to large. Kind of sounds like the emergency broadcast system sound you hear on radio or television. Very annoying.

Is it coming from the rear speakers? Can you start stop the hi pitched noise with turning on / off your interior lighting? That’s what I am experiencing.

I Had the truck in for one week their solution was that it would be gone when the doors are shut I had to show them again that it’s also there when they are shut but turn on the ambient / interior lights on the dim wheel left to the steering wheel, they said they had open a star case and gave me customer care number, and it was up to FCA engineers now. When I called customer care 4 weeks later they said the star case was closed because the dealer assumed the issue was gone because I hadn’t complained any further...

The sound I hear comes more from the center front dash. I think it is coming from center channel speaker on front dash. Don't think it is coming out of any other speaker. Only happens occasionally when radio is on. Before they replaced amp it happened maybe 6 times from September to November.

I had the same thing, but I think it was coming from SiriusXM signal and not from Uconnect.

What did you do to fix problem with SiriusXM? When the sound happens on mine it is on all inputs and not just the SiriusXM. I did bring mine in today and showed my local dealer the video. I had the backup camera update done too because two days ago pulling out of my garage the backup camera started beeping and the brakes applied all by itself, but no one was behind me. I told the dealer that I though there was an update for the back up camera which they did apply. Funny thing though as the dealer listened to my video they agreed with me and they said the sound that was coming from my speaker sounds like the sound you get when the parking sensor goes from yellow to red and the high pitched beep occurs letting you know you are very close to an object. I think the sounds are one in the same an the update applied to my cameras also fixes the sound coming from my speakers. They do sound either really close or are identical. Dealer said they could hold on to it for a while, but they might not get it to replicate sound since it happens so rarely. I said I would try the update and let them know if it worked. They never had a 19 make this sound. Since the backup camera update only applied to some of the first Rams off the line for the year and this problem sound seems rare I hope they are both one in the same issue and the update takes care of both. I will update if problem continues to occur.

I have not had any dealer maintenance (besides oil) or updates since I got the truck in May. The beeps happened about 8 times while listening to NFL network (default channel) when starting up. The beeps stopped after about 10 minutes or if I switched channels (sometimes). Hence, I think it is a Uconnect/ siriusxm issue. Has not happened in last 2 months.

Thanks CMENT for update. Not sure if your sound is the same as mine. Mine would make the the sound no matter what station I was on and now the only way to seem to get it to stop was shutting the truck off for a good amount of time and restarting. I tried once just to shut it off and restart right away and it was still there. Time will tell if the update did the trick.

Try the two dials left to the steering wheel I can turn off mine with turning off the ambient lighting.

Well my sound is back. I believe I had the update to the backup camera/parksense done a little over a month ago. Went to pick up the kids from school and I switched from XM to FM and sound returned. The update did at least fix the truck from applying the brakes when backing up and no one was behind me (at least I think it did) I also developed a new problem close to a month ago since last visit to dealer. I am getting the intermittent audio on all sources. I have not had the intermittent audio problem in about two weeks. I am planning on calling the dealer next week for a oil and tire rotation. Since I am getting service; I also am going to have them look at the following:
1. Recall for ground cable fastener
2. Update for power train
3. Not sure if I need the recall for brake pedal.
4. Brake squeal noise (Star Online Publication). I have the chewbacca noise when backing up.
5. The return of the parksense noise (or sounding of a tone that sounds like when the dash goes from yellow to red when close to an object) blasting randomly over the speakers. I have video of it.

I love this truck, but I am beginning to think that I need have an exorcism done on the truck.

chrisfuss I tried the two dials and it did not solve the problem.

Finally got a video to upload about the problem. Also contacted Ram Cares (Lydia) about this annoying tone. This tone and the intermittent audio problem on all sources makes listening to the radio impossible when either one of these problems happens. Anyone else with this tone?

@chrisfuss and I are experiencing the same issue. A high pitch squeal (not loud, but def noticeable if you're idling) from the rear speakers in the back seat whenever the ambient lighting is on (like when it's dark outside). The workaround is to completely turn down your ambient lighting roller dial (next to your headlight control). Thankfully it's an easily reproducible issue, and pretty annoying, so I'll have my dealer take a look during my first regular servicing.

Glad you figured out the work around for your sound. I tried the ambient lighting roller dial for my sound. It does nothing for my problem. Mine comes on no matter if it is dark or light out and dial position does nothing. A Ram case manager is supposed to be working with my dealer to solve problem. I called Monday and my case manager still had no update. Getting very frustrated with this issue and the intermittent radio pauses on all sources.

Yea your issue is definitely different than ours and it's much more severe. I hope they can get it resolved without too much headache :-/

@glennf14 my truck is in the shop currently and according to fca it's the Amp they are changing today, let's see I'll let you know if that helped...

Apparently they fixed it! At least they claim to... I am overseas until Tuesday. I will take a picture of the protocol on what was done when I get back. But sounded like FCA now know what's the issue...
