Well, shoot, as long as you have an app that says it, must be true.As long as you believe that and it makes you happy. The 3:92 truck has too much gear above about 45 mph, my race render app has validated that so you believe whatever you like.

Why would I need to re-read the post. My comment is accurate for the portion of your post it pertained to. Or did you forget what you wrote?Re-read that post
My Tazer 0-60 timer validated that the Vararam lowered my times by .3 sec compared to stock, yet you still have people who will argue that it offers zero performance increase. As long as you believe that and it makes you happy. Appreciate the response.
I may have to try that app out. In the past i've video'd myself running 0-60mph then did timestamps with a video editor. I've had some pretty "quick" times with stock wheels, and only slightly worse (0.5 second so maybe not so slight) 0-60 now with 35" tires.

I have, and really didn’t notice a difference. I chose 3.21’s on my ‘22 because the ecodiesel’s torque is good enough that I wanted ~400 rpm less on the highway. So honest question, has anyone driven both a 3.92 and 3.21 to feel the off-the-line comparison? My truck has 3.21 gears and feels torquey off the line, but in 2wd it just spins and goes into traction control before it does much. 4wd auto and a warmed up engine and it feels pretty quick without any spin at all. Well some I guess but it just pulls you out of it. I'm curious how much different the 3.92 feels off the line.
At the same time, I have 8th gear but like it's been said before I'm hitting 108 in 6th if I push it. I've gone into eco mode in 8th at 95mph, so unless you can remove speed limiter the higher gear doesn't seem to do too much good. Hitting the speed limiter while wide open is like having a bungie cord attached to your rear bumper, you just get yanked bank and your gas pedal gets taken away from you.
But that's not the part of your post I was replying to. I know it can be hard when someone doesn't respond the way you want, but doesn't mean I was wrong, or needed to reread anything.Because I also compared a 2019 3:92 and a 2019 3:21 truck
Numbers don't lie. Did multiple runs in each configuration. But if you think my quotes gains are off wrong because you don't believe it, then your app numbers have to be just as questionable. If you believe it did, that's all that matters. 3th's is a lot for CAI though, especially in a 0-60 run
A true gear head will race anything. I don't have to be the fastest thing in the track to enjoy participating on test and tune nights.People talking about 0-60's in trucks is like kids talking about which CAI is going to give them those most bOoSt in their Honda Civic. You drive a dog one way or the other. Just because you have torque it doesn't mean your truck is fast. Like I said earlier, this is like talking about drag racing Minivans.
I love this thread.
Yeah, I agree. I drive everything fast. lol. It's all relative.A true gear head will race anything. I don't have to be the fastest thing in the track to enjoy participating on test and tune nights.
And I know a few minivans that will give most cars at your local test and tune nights a run for their money. Modified early 90s turbo Dodge Caravans. It's more fun to make something fast that people don't expect to be fast than to go buy the same "performance" car everyone else has. A fast Corvette, GT500, Hellcat isn't that impressive when 5 other guys have the same thing at the track.
Do you mean lowered as in improved 0-60?My Tazer 0-60 timer validated that the Vararam lowered my times by .3 sec compared to stock, yet you still have people who will argue that it offers zero performance increase.
Yes, that's how that works.Do you mean lowered as in improved 0-60?

Same day, same road, same direction, less than an hour between stock and Vararam test. Stock air filter wasn't dirty as I had less than 10K miles on the truck at the time. As I said, if you want to question any variables in my 0-60 times, then the same variables come into question with your anecdotal test between two different trucks. At least I used the same truck.Your app may well be right, IDK, there's too many variables.
I don't know how you tested, I don't know when you made each test, I don't know if the tests were all the same direction on the same day with the same weather. I don't know if you tested the vararam against a dirty air filter.
What I do know is that 3ths from a CAI is a huge increase, if you got it great but there's valid a reason people question 3ths on these trucks from a CAI.

Not saying it isn't. Just saying your test isnt any more accurate. Not saying others could reproduce my results. Maybe it was a fluke, but three back to back runs with Vararam resulted in all three being quicker times than anything I got on stock intake. You obviously don't feel it's accurate. Just like I don't feel your testing of two different trucks at different days and times is an accurate comparison for saying which gear set is better. And your isn't anecdotal with one test on one truck? Lol Ok
As is said, if you got 3ths from a CAI, good for you
