AlfaOBD

Has anyone had their horn stop woking after messing with this stuff? I have changed a few things with alfa as well as my taser DT and have noticed from time to time I go to use my horn and it won't work. I can't figure out why. it is intermittent though, works sometimes. just wondering if anyone else had had any horn issues.

has anyone used alpha obd on new 2025 rebel? is it the same process? my truck came with lane assist, acc, auto headlights but no auto wipers, trying to figure out what i need to do to add this to my truck, if its a simple *** changing a thing or two in alpha obd or if i need to add something else? thanks!

Nope. It's been posted many times on here. The canbus is different on the 2025. They are working on it. You will be able to change the settings, but then you have up have the modules realigned which will be out of scope for AlfaOBD at this time. Tazer and JScan is also a no go.

It’s getting close, he’ll be adding 2025 ram to alfaobd soon, probably this week. Alfaobd is able to do the proxi alignment also. The only hurdle left is unlocking the gateway, but that can be done with an obd splitter, second reader, and an autoauth subscription. I just have to work on getting 2025 support on that second cheap reader that I’m using.

That's great!

Any updates on this?

Just want to say thanks to this thread! I was able to use the security bypass cable and obdlink ex with the windows version of alfaobd and worked great. Did the tailgate ajar and fog light dropout disabled. Wanted to have my switchback lasfit turn as the drl but found out from here that doesn't work so oh well. Next ordered the rain sensor to have auto wipers. Got the obdlink ex to possible use forscan for my wife's expedition as well.

Tried DRL on my 2024. Overnight it got reset back to original. Yes I have connected app running from Ram to locate, remote start etc. its mainly for locate n boundary feature for safety.

Funny thing is Ive activated performance pages, didnt worked on 12inch system. But the digital dashboard has options to select n still works fine. Wonder anyone faced this selective rest?:rolleyes:

Anyone know if alfaobd works on 2025 models? Has anyone tried to use it on 2025 yet? Guess I'll be the guinea pig if no one else has tried!

Yes, they both do, and Android version is easier to upload it to google drive. There’s also two different things that people could be referring to when they say “BCM backup”:
1) The BCM system ID log, which is what people are probably referring to, but is not an actual backup. It is just the current list of settings, and what they are all currently set to. It is a log that will keep running, so each time you read the system ID, it will tack the current settings that it reads onto the end of the info log.
2) BCM backup file- this is fairly new on AlfaOBD, and this would be an actual backup log. It is just a bunch of numbers, but this file can be used as a restore point. IOW, you can restore your BCM back to whatever it was when the file was created, in one shot, without having to manually make the settings changes.
Hi Jimmy.. I have downloaded and saved a copy of the text file "Body_Chrysler...txt" but what I'm really after is the BCM backup file you mentioned here. It sounds like this file is a non-text file and is a true backup file - intended to restore the BCM if / when needed. My plan is to save a copy of both together after changes are made to the BCM programming. Can you please tell me where I can find the command to create this file? I have seen a backup command - but it only produces a "Body_Chrysler...txt" file. Thank you in advance!
