AlfaOBD

The Drive Mode's don't work, just there for visual effect I guess is the best way to put it. Same for Launch Control (obvs)

The dials and charts work on the Performance Page but it is rather annoying that it's the only page that doesn't load.

Although I can't think of any specifics off the top of my head, I get the impression from reading the forums over the past few months that my configuration and things that I can and cannot do in AlfoOBD (as well as Jscan) may differ to you guys with mine being in the UK.

It is probably more of a case that the uConnect version will differ, and is "less" maintained or not at all.

I'm in Australia and we get an international version that hasn't been updated for years. The US version is maintained and users can get updates over the web.

Has anyone used Alphaobd to customize the software on your Ram? Does it work with on 2019 trucks? I’m hesitant to pay $130 for my dealer to add the sales code for the factory trailer brake controller that I installed myself. Could this be an option?

I had a 2016 RAM Big Horn that didn't come with the trailer control towing system. I bought all the components and installed but of course they didn't work, I had to buy the AlphaOBD software and the OBD reader. I was able to go in and change the 3 settings required and the system worked fine thereafter. Kinda sucked to have to shell out the money but I found that I was able to do other things too like turning off the seatbelt not engaged ding.

I have a 2022 2500 Tradesman. I recently went from the 5” to the 8.4” radio i bought used. I installed it and now my backup camera gridlines are gone and the setting check mark disappears after a few seconds. I have alpha and am new to this. I enabled the gridlines using alpha but no change. Can someone help and walk me thru how to fix this issue?

Might have better luck on the HDRams group. This is for 5th gen 1500s. The settings are different between the two.

I'm looking to find the locations and the file names of the log files and backup files that AlphaOBD creates when it is run on an Android device. I have seen some of this info mentioned in various answers to questions in forum messages on the RAM related sites that I frequent - but am unable to come up with them in search results. It seems that there are some files that are created automatically and some that require manually saving to a location such as a local drive or Google Drive. Furthermore, some are plain text type log files and others are non-ascii machine language types intended to be loaded to the device (BCM). I'd like to locate my first log file and either upload to the BCM or read it and manually make changes to affected sub-systems to go back to the original settings - I just can't seem to find them. Thanks in advance!

Could any Multi function tailgate owners using AlfaOBD please tell me what the values for these settings are in your Car Configuration?

If you never saved a back up file to your phone or computer before you made any changes then there isn't one for you to "find" or go back to. If you did create a backup file, then alfaObd will find it when you select option to restore from backup.

I believe I have, but what is the name of the file? I don't want to try to write some random file to the BCM. It would also be nice to know the filenames of those that are associated with ALPHA OBD.

isn't there a sheet code that lists all possible modifications?
I've spent a lot of time on the forum but it's complicated by my poor English. :)
