Aftermarket 13.6" Display Radio

What are you asking about? Please explain in more detail. Because I'm not aware of any issue like that.
its what they were talking about above that the message is coming up when no one is in vehicle draining batteries

Has anyone had this issue with the 360 Cameras?
When putting it into reverse or pressing the camera button on the radio it goes to the bed camera not the tailgate/360 camera, and the 360 view and front camera etc are not showing.

I have found that pressing the camera button on the radio and then putting it into reverse will sometimes show the full 360 view just like on the original radio, but then it will go away. So seems like the connections are correct.
Tried contacting phoenix but they haven't come up with a solution yet...

My friend has the exact same truck as mine. We bought them the same day, same dealer. His is black and always had issues with the AC not being cold enough. Mine (silver) never had an issue. After he also installed the Android 10 13.6 inch radio, his first observation was the AC started blowing cold air. So, not a placebo. I actually confirmed that myself.
I have a 2019 Bighorn. I have always had issues with my AC not being as cold as I felt it should be. I lived in Texas for a time and if I wasn't on the freeway moving 60+ the AC could not keep up.
Just to confirm this after market android head unit seems to fix your friends AC? If true its worth the price since the dealership is useless.

I really would like to get one but the poor FM (even though I don't listen to it) are a deal breaker as is the low quality backup camera. I will never go back to anything less the the clear HD image the stock radio gave me. Too bad to Uconnect is terrible.

There is absolutely no way it fixed his AC. The head unit has nothing to do with that outside of controlling the fan speed and setting the temp. Everything else is handled outside of that.

There is nothing wrong with FM. Mine works perfectly. And the camera is only slightly degraded. Like very slightly. I don't even notice an issue with the surround view cameras. I might not be able to see an ant crawling on the ground, but I can easily see the lines for parking and anything else I need. It's been blown out of proportion.

Prob needs the AC redesign

The only issue I have with this unit is that my GPS doesn’t work when using CarPlay. The gps signal is very good when I check it on the radio. I just don’t know if the system uses the trucks GPS or the phone, when you have it pluggged in via cable. I can be driving and then the guide goes off and randomly places me all I’ve the place. It’ll move me in the opposite direction and through random places. It’s terrible. Anyone have issue and get this fixed?

Have you tried placing your phone on top of the dash? Seems most likely that your phone is not getting a strong GPS signal.

Sounds like an issue with your phone. I use Waze on the unit itself and have no issues with GPS. As suggested, you might be blocking it on your phone.

So you guys are saying Waze, Maps, etc function from your phone after it's connected to the unit? I have a feeling it is being transferred to the head unit. May not work like that with the OEM 8.4, but might with this unit. Anyways, I just swapped out the 13.6 unit and installed the OEM 8.4 back in, no issues at all. It was so bad that I couldnt use any Navi almost every time. I emailed Phoenix Auto and asked them to refund me, which they sent me a form to fill out. Their support has been very good, the product just isn't for me. Ill have to do some research and maybe look into something else. I really liked the larger screen to look at.

You can also go to the factory 12 inch. You can even install UC5 system. The only reason I didn't do that is because I wanted full screen system that didn't require my phone to be connected for operation.

Here's a question that hasn't been asked yet... Is it possible to swap the top trim out on the bezel? I like the black and grey burl bezel that comes in the Big Horn. Anybody give this a try?

What are you guys doing with your oem 12" radios? I have the 8" and the screen is delaminating. I would love to upgrade to the 12". I like the features on the OEM radio and I don't want to buy a SIM card for the Phoenix. I assume the 12" would be plug and play. Would it be recognized by my vehicle and able to connect to my XM account and receive system updates? Anyone getting rid of their 12"? Thanks

I sold mine like many others.

You need the radio module too.

But I have all the OEM stuff for settings on my Phoenix. And many more that blow the factory one away. I don't use a SIM, I have a hotspot in my truck. Or I could just use my phone.

Wanted to post an update. I had a Phoenix 13.6 in my truck for just over a year. Dealt with all the bugs and stuff, but it wasn’t that bad. Was riding along one day, and the radio just completely turned off. Like totally dead, and then it turned the heat on. Which sucks in the middle of summer, and ya know, because the screen didn’t work, couldn’t turn it off.

Well. I disconnected the battery and it came back on, for about a day, then randomly turned off again. Another battery pull. Started working again for about an hour. Then it completely died. Mind you, this is only after a year of owning.

Reached out to Phoenix and had two video calls with them trying to troubleshoot. Ultimately they said I have to send the radio in for repair, in the amount of over $300 in repairs. I decided at that point I was no longer interested in dealing with the terrible fm radio reception, the terrible back up camera quality, the terrible mic quality, so I decided to look on Facebook marketplace for a 12” uconnect system, and was able to get everything installed for about 1100. Now that uconnect 5 systems are out, the uconnect 4 systems have gotten a lot cheaper. I know the uconnect 12 have their own issues, and trust me I miss wireless CarPlay, and the 18 band EQ, but let me tell you, having a radio that just works, being able to finally talk on the phone, being able to just turn on the fm radio without static, etc. I don’t miss the Phoenix at all.

I would STRONGLY recommend to either just spend a little more on uconnect 12 system, or be sure to get an extended warranty on the Phoenix.

Interesting as I don't have any of those issues even after 2 years. But I seldom listen to FM or talk on the phone. But when I do, there's no issues. Did you have the Android 10 or 12 version?

You can get one of those CarPlay adapters to give you wireless again.

I figured I'd start here before contacting Pheonix for the sake of time. I just installed the unit last weekend.

Problem is my blind spot detection is not chiming anymore. I checked the settings in the unit and it is set to chime.

Anybody else have this issue and have a quick fix?

Has anyone installed this unit on a 2025 with 8.4 non-Nav screen?
