Adding Passive Entry: How-to

this is the part in the door, not under the car. Tee ones under the truck for the rear fascia DID snap in.

Don't think I can see the pins on the other side, at least without removing the other plugs.

AND now I need to order new male pins, damaged one of them try to get it through the boot.

ETA: I decided to try and finish up and see how it went since I was like 90% done. I "re-jimmied" :p the male pin, finished the install and did the JSCAN changes. Well, what do ya know....everything works! Woohoo!

The male pins for the doors did seem to "set" in but didn't fully snap in like the ones for the rear fascia. 🤷‍♂️

I ordered some replacement pins, if it stops working I'm reasonably confident where the problem might lie since I re-crimped the one.w

What kind of programmer did you use and what bypass did you buy?

I used JSCAN, OBD Link MX+ OBD2, Exctool 12+8 Pin Security Bypass, links below. I think there are cheaper options but that's what I went with.

OBD

Security Bypass

I still haven't gotten around to messing with the connectors but passive entry still working.
