If anybody doesn’t want to spend the money for the entire door harnesses and rear facia harness, and doesn’t feel like building the add on harnesses with the parts, let me know and I can build them for you-

Hey Jimmy,

Can you PM a price for all three sets?

Thanks,
Brian

Squeeze the two ears on the front side (handle side) and wiggle while pulling back away from handle end.

Also I'm trying to get the boot off from where the door meets the body but it's nearly impossible. Sliding a small screwdriver down to unconnect the tab doesn't work because there's a tab on the opposite side that you can't get to unless you take the entire door off.

Am I missing something here....I see there's one tab up top and there's one down the bottom however that does not release it as there is a third tab that is on the opposite side that you cannot get to

Use a right angle pick on the bottom where the tab is on the backside.

Holy hell....sorta a short handed nightmare at the start. Once you get the first one done it's alot easier for the other side. Broke one clip that holds the inner handle cable in place ..... Very thin plastic.... thankfully the part is only $30. Jimmy rigged with a zip tie for the time being.

As someone here said... definitely start with the passenger side first.

The two hidden screws absolutely suck to get out and In. Sit in the floor and reach your arm way up and in. TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE PATIENT! Personally I put one or two of the screws back in the panel at the top to make sure it wouldn't fall off when bending it forward to get your arm behind it.

I'm half way done and will tackle the back one tomorrow along with the reprogramming.

Wish someone would make a youtube "how to" video when they do this project! I already have alfaobd, bypass, and obd link.... what kind of price should I expect to take on this mod? I would buy all the harnesses from Jimmy to me the project easier.

I was gonna make a youtube video but if you follow the instructions, you won't have any issues. I will prolly end up making a video when I take the panel.bavk off to fix the part that broke.

I spent
$100 for the harness from Jimmy

$238 for the handles, caps, and rear proximity sensor

$17 for the OBD tool

$50 for the bypass harness

Excellent, thank you for the price break down! I'll keep an eye out for any videos.

Would have been a good day, but KAOD sent me the wrong cable.

What other bypass cable can be used? Does anyone have one other then this one?

They sent the classic one by accident.

Haven't been able to get a hold of them, so may try a different one. Any suggestions?

What's the difference between the KAOD cable and a SGW Bypass?

That’s why I want you to post a pic of the one you received. If I can see the two connectors, you might be able to make it work.

Go ahead and try making the changes with only this one plugged into the junction block that it fits in-

I'm planning to do this job over the weekend. I assume it'll take me the majority of a day, but I'm curious how many hours this took for those of you that have completed the job?

Also, how do I replace the back door handles? I am changing handle color so I need to replace the rears, even though I'm not adding passive entry to those doors.
