Yes, I’ve had this plugged in for over two months. I know for a fact it’s from a wrecked limited. I’m not sure why this particular module would have to be virgin either. Seems strange, but possible?

I admire you for tackling this project.
You have way more patience than I do.

Needs to be a way to write your VIN to the DASM. Not sure if the dealer can do it. The current VIN and VIN lock is pretty damning.

I just noticed you have VehConfig 3 ESCL system present set to YES. Did you change that to yes, or was it always like that. RAM hasn’t used an electronic steering column lock in 12+ years. Not sure what effect it would have...

Either that or order a new DASM. $1000 for a new one is a tough gamble.

Seems like the last thing to rule out.

I changed that ESCL setting a few days ago because the configurations I read from other trucks had it enabled and I wasn’t sure if that played a part.

I’d set it back to no. I’m comparing with a 2021 loaded Limited. Oh, and set VehConfig 7 Active Blind Spot Present back to no. That setting isn’t part of your blind spot detection system, and it’ll be sure we take any configuration mismatch errors off the table.
I’m gonna keep running though these logs.

I’ll make the changes now. I should also note I changed some PTS options to semi-automatic as well.

Those are the Parktronics sensors (park sense). Those shouldn’t interfere unless you have errors in your park assist module.

Just curious, did adding the mirror camera enable auto brights? Also, what about the camera in the grill? Do you need that too? I'm very interested in this project.

The camera in the grill is not a part of the lane keep assist or the ACC. As far as i know it is only for surround view. The Module i added behind the rear view mirror is the DASM which is a Radar and Camera unit combined that does in fact control Auto high beams. I did enable this feature in alphaobd and i do get a "auto high beams enabled" message when my headlights come on but the high beams won't kick on. Since the DASM is reading an error any function it controls is disabled - so auto high beams are not working yet. There is a rear view mirror you can add that has a camera solely for high beams, i think it's been done quite often.

Eventually we'll figure out what's keeping everything from working. It's just a matter of time...and money.

Okay so I was able to find a DASM module on eBay that is claimed to be new and unopened that was half off the price of one from a dealer. We’ll see if that is the magic piece missing to get this working. I will update once I get it and install.

Hi there so glad I found this forum, this is my first post on this site. Just traded my 2018 ecodiesel on a 2020 ecodiesel longhorn. It has the ACC buttons on the steering wheel beside the regular cruise buttons and it has the camera in the rear view mirror but the ACC buttons do nothing. I talked to the dealer actually a couple of different dealers and they both said the truck didn't come with the option and can't be activated. They said it probably got the wrong steering wheel at the factory. This is driving me crazy because I really like the feature, we have it on the wife's CRV and it is very nice on long drives. How do you check to see if the ABS and HCU are right for ACC, also how do you do alfaobd ?

There is lots of good information on this site. If you want to dive into alphaobd, which is pretty much essential for any DIY project on your truck, head over to the alphaobd thread.
It's long, but you need to have a good grasp on what it is and how it works before you jump in head-first. It's a powerful tool but can also be dangerous and brick your truck if you don't know what you're doing. You can find it by searching and i think it's a sticky on the mods/accessories page.

As far as the adaptive cruise control goes, what does the camera behind your rear view look like? If it's about the size of a 3x5 note card then its the correct one.
If not, that would be the camera for the auto hi-beams. Chances are the ABS module and HCU are also the non-ACC versions as well. Here is what the camera behind your
rear-view should look like for ACC: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-Ram-1...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Nope that does not look like my mirror camera, I guess I am out of luck was really hoping I could just play around with alphaobd and activate the ACC, not sure if I want to spend the money to make it work. Sounds like it involves a new windshield and mirror and the other modules, maybe if I break this windshield and then find used parts it wouldn't be to bad. Thanks for the info

I don't think it requires a new windshield. Maybe I'm wrong.

Technically it does... but there are work arounds. All the new windshield does is give the camera a place to mount to and look out of. You can make a DIY mount that would allow your existing windshield to work. This is what i did.

Awesome work. I can't wait until you get it figured out.

So i have made some major progress on this. I managed to find a New DASM on ebay for half the price of retail. After a long wait it finally got here today. I swapped it with my current (used) one and fired the truck up. For the first time in literal months there were 0 warnings on my dash. I think this was the missing piece to get this whole thing to work. When i try to turn cruise control on I get a "front radar in plant mode" warning on my dash. To me, this is great news. I now know that the truck is happy with everything i've installed and enabled via alpha and the only thing that's required is to calibrate the radar. After looking at alpha obd I see I have 3 DTCs: C14A4, C2212, C008F. Each of these codes is related to the alignment of the sensor in the windshield. Unfortunately I cannot perform the sensor alignment procedure with the current version of alpha obd.

I have called my dealer that has been great in the past with my side projects to quote me for a cruise alignment. If they won't perform the alignment, i have another backup plan...Safelite glass repair offers to do the alignment procedure when you get a new windshield installed. If the dealer won't do it, i will be trying that next.

That is awesome.
