Got the truck back last friday and they changed blower motor which did not fix the issue. Left dealership and ac went from full blast down to minimum right down the street from the dealership after I took a right hand turn. There doesnt seem to be a fix for it nor does FCA really care that you pay 50k+ for a truck that has these kinds of issues. Drove over to toyota and traded for a Tundra! Most reliable truck and gas mileage is similar to the ram I had with a 3.92 rear and tundra are all 8 all the time. Not looking back! D.O.N.E

I have an update for my issue of the AC shutting off after coming to a stop. I never experienced it during a turn, but it may still be related. Dealer pulled codes B10EB-19, Blower Power Module-Overcurrent and B10EB-4B, Blower Power Module-Over Temperature. According to corporate, if the blower is working, no exchange is needed and a software update should be done. Well, that suggestion was back in 2018 and I am already current on all software updates. All connections were checked and dealer replaced bower motor. They said if it happens again to please let them know so they can tell the head office.

So.... like others that have reported, the issue remains after the blower motor replacement. Please help us FCA!!! Issue occurred again when it was over 100 degrees and max AC was on. Had to leave town, but I am home now and at the dealership. Tech talked to me directly to get a run down of when the issue occurs and what I see happening. He looked lost and said same codes pulled again. I am lucky enough to have chosen a dealership that wants to help. I used them for my 3rd and 4th gen rams. They are now gonna try a new ac/heater module. Request order has been put in with Chrysler. So now we wait.

It has been a while since i updated opn what is goin on with my vehicle. The dealer ship has now replaced the Blower Motor and Hvac control module. They have taken out the dash and checked all the grounds. The Fourth time i took it in they replaced the blower motor again. Now it is back at the Deleasr ship hopefully for the lasty time. They are going to replace the wiring harness this time. Hopefull that this fixes my issue

So i had an issue with my brand new 2019 Ram 1500 with 700 miles on it. I had the AC at LO setting and had it blower hard for a good 10 minutes. I took a slight left turn and when I did I felt the motor shutter a little bit and as that happened the AC Shut completely off. It looks a few seconds of me touching the buttons to get it to react again and it started blowing again one I pressed auto AC. has anyone else had this happen? what should i do
Hi dsn112,
Please send us a private message if this continues to happen as we would like to have this documented and looked into further.

it’s in the 90s here and that just happened on mine, it started and worked fine after. i’m assuming it was a hard reboot? yet what triggered it is odd, radio etc was fine. it was on auto and was after it started back up albeit slowly. any ideas? should i be concerned? the truck has been nearly perfect since i got it in 2019

I have had the same issue on occasion and of course its intermittent so not repeatable and therefore not able to be diagnosed by service.

Very similar issue here with my 2020 Ram 1500.
Typically when using the remote start feature this happens. I live about three blocks to the first stop sign (speed about 15-20 mph), it kills the a/c and the truck gives a little kick back simultaneously.. giving it a few seconds I am able to start the a/c again by pressing the auto button but I continue down the road about 2 miles to another stop (speed 30-35) and I get a bigger kick back but the a/c stays on.

Did you ever get this fixed? My 2019 is doing the same. Dealer replaced blower motor but is will still shut off randomly. Usually when it is hot outside(102 in Texas )

Well, I had to take my 2020 Rebel in today for the same reason everyone else has been having here. I was told they will get to it on Tuesday or Wednesday next week, so I'll see what they say.
Of course my factory warranty ran out in April of this year. So we will see how this will cost...
Has there been any updates if this is going to be a recall?

Just so you know no matter what they do it will still be sub par to every other manufacturer and even models within Stellantis.

Recalls are only for federally mandated safety items, so no recall. It may be a possibility, of extending a warranty, like they did for water leaks due to a faulty 3rd brake light gasket, but don't hold your breath.

What are you referring to?
Referring to the fact no matter what they do or say this AC unit is inferior to everything else available within the past 30 years. It was a bad design from the get go and will take longer to cool down your truck even when working at the very optimal condition.

True statement there. Fan Speed doesn't equate since it blows faster on Auto than on 7. Vents open and close when taking corners in the truck and they release cold air in during winter when the heat is on. Only way my A/C really works well is with the hose clamp hack but when I forget to loosen it up I have no heat. Gremlins in the Uconnect 4 Infotainment module and hiccups with the A/C and Heat design... New 2024 on order...

Not to mention the temps that come out even on an optimal unit run at least 8-10 degrees warmer than every other unit known to man.

Which systems do the people having problems have in their trucks? I don't know how many systems are offered any more, but there used to be manual single zone, manual 2 zone, and automatic 2 zone. I keep my automatic at 70 degrees, year round, and have never had any problem. My girlfriend plays with her side, but that says it all any way. Women always think turning it to 90 in the winter will heat it up faster.

My truck is one of the first run 5th Gen which was built in August 2018. Love it but got a hailstorm that should’ve totaled it but insurance said it didn’t which is nuts considering the damage. While I am waiting on a new roof to come in to replace it I ordered a new truck that I will trade this one in for once repaired.

The dealer found that I had two codes. One for the blower and the other for the HVAC control module. I got my truck back Friday, They replaced both the blower and the HVAC control module. I will see if this fixes the issue.
