3.5" readylift questions

Just so I understand. Aren’t the factory wheels 20x9 +18. So will I be good with OEM 20’s and 35x12.5R20 Nitto RG’s with the ReadyLift Kit?

Edit: Actually on with the dealer now and they are telling me that they are rubbing and they were going to look for a spacer kit. Sooo....looks like I might be looking for new wheels if I want to keep those tires.

So, the +18 Wheel will like Agitated stated give you a more narrow stance and should only require minor plastic trimming. If a dealership is stating the +18 are rubbing too much it could be because of Alignment.

I would definitely recommend running a 20x9 0 Offset. it gives you a more aggressive stance and doesn't require trimming.

A 0 offset will still keep the tires under the fender lip, right at the edge. The factory wheel offset may cause tire rubbing and will be more sunk in. A negative offset will have your tires sticking out and look...well, I guess to each his own. But that look is a bit trashy for my tastes. If you like your factory wheels, just use 1" wheel spacers. I considered it but I don't like the hassle of wheel spacers. As much as they are, I wouldn't recommend you buy spacers and then in two weeks buy new wheels. Wasted money.

Right on the money. On that note, if you do decide to use spacers, don't buy anything other than BORA. They are the best out there and are hubcentric where as alot of spacers are lug centric. They cost a little more, but they are top notch quality.

Getting my 3.5 inch ReadyLift kit installed as we speak. Also going with 35x12.5R20 Ridge Grapplers on stock rims. I have seen some people say that it might rub on the UCA. Do you think there will be any issues? If so, will 0 offset be enough or should I go -12 or -18? Thanks.

Does anyone know how y’all the tallest part of your truck is after the 3.5” lift. I do have the crew Cab Long bed so my truck is already a little lower. But I just want to make sure i fit in my 7ft garage. I had a 2007 RAM 1500 with a 6” lift that wouldn’t fit and I’m not doing that again this winter. Lol

I have been reading extensively. It seems to be hit and miss. Looking at your setup (Sweet Rig BTW), the difference was I have the 20’s vs your 22’s and I went with Ridge Grapplers vs the Thunderers. I guess there was enough variance in there to cause some rub. I didn’t see it because the dealer is doing it but I couldn’t imagine that they would put spacers on if there wasn’t an issue.

Either way the Vapors are ordered and I wasn’t a huge fan of the OEM 20’s anyway.

ReadyLift 3.5 installed and 35x12.5R20’s on stock rims with a 1/4 inch spacer. Hopefully wheels drop on Friday for the weekend. I’ll post some better pics in the morning when the sun is right and the wife’s minivan is out of the way. Just finished putting in the LED’s in the Cargo and Third Brake Light, put the Pedal Commander Back in and put my BakFlip back on from my last truck.

Really hard to tell from pictures but based on the last picture it looks perfectly level and I assume your driveway has a grade to it so it seems like you might be a little nose high. I would probably add a spacer in the back. I put Bilsteins on my 16 Ram at the highest setting. Looks awesome until I hooked up my tiny little 1000lb trailer and got a little squatty. Was going to add a spacer in the back but ended up getting rid of the truck.

So the measurements probably aren’t exact because it was dark but what I ended up with was pretty much right under 42 inches from ground to bottom of the wheel well at midline right through the center of the wheel all the way around. Can I expect some “settling” in the front? I was hoping to still have about 3/4-1 inch of rake left so it didn’t look “stressed” when hooking up my camper. I don’t tow enough for me to be overly concerned about it but in case it grinds on me and it doesn’t settle in a bit what would my options be? Larger Spacer in the rear, Airbags, other?

Here are the measurements I took in the same spot in my driveway.

So, What's your current mileage?
The best way to determine whether there will much settling is if you measure from the center of your hub face to the center of the lip on the fender (Straight up from the hub). This way you are only looking at the lift affected by the suspension and not a combination of tire and suspension.
