2025 Tungsten - Good/Bad

Anyone know if it's possible to use/enable "standard cruise" on the Tungsten. Manual says NO. I am Not a fan of adaptive cruise.
took me a while to get used to the adaptive cruise also, but the more I use it the more I like it. I especially like the super cruise is what I call it except there are not enough mapped roads around me to use it yet. but the ones I have I really like it.

I have a Laramie and it does just what you are describing. I assume it might be the newest feature since my truck was built in Oct. 2024. Just wait when your dash turns red and it displays that you need to take control in the tight turn. Apparently it can only handle so much with turns until it gets tight on the highway. From the manual (you can download digital version from Ram's website), page 192:
HANDS-FREE SUB FEATURES
Assisted Lane Change
The Assisted Lane Change sub feature is available
when operating in Hands-Free mode. The system
uses sensors, including Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
sensors, to determine if a lane change is possible and
will indicate that a lane change is available by showing
a dashed green lane line graphic on the available side.
If the driver activates the turn signal, and a lane change
is available in that direction, the system will begin
changing lanes and show a green lane change arrow
graphic until the lane change is complete.
Thanks. Now i know this is the way the 25's are. Last night we took a nice drive when we went out to dinner and it had me take the wheel in a turn under a overpass. Love the hands free but trust me i'm always ready to take over the wheel when it tells me. Even though Ram sent me a owners manual in the mail i've looked at the manual many times on their website which helped me figure some things out. Thanks again.

wait how did you get an actual owners manual I have been asking my dealer for one for weeks? did ram just send it to you randomly?

I replied to one of the bi-weekly updates I get from US Customer Care, and asked them to send me a hard copy so I had something to read while waiting for my truck to be built and delivered. I know the electronic version is readily available, but I'm a bit old school and like the hard copy. They sent me a copy of the Owners Manual and the Uconnect manual.

No. First i was going to buy one but the site wasn't working right. So i called Ram/ Mopar at 1-800-399-2668 and said i couldn't order it. She said they would send me one which they did for free. They also sent me a UConnect one also. If i remember right i had to call to get them for my 19 Limited also.

It works really well. I hope they continually add more roads and mapping to the software.

I too am old school and like a book to read by the outdoor fire with glass of whiskey in hand. I downloaded the pdf version, had to do some work in adobe pdf pro to flatten out the pages and set print size before uploading to Lulu to get book printed for whooping $25. This is a full size 8.5x11 book with larger font for easy reading, I also customized the front and back of book. Why the heck not eh.....

If you want the book ready pdf file just direct message me and I will sent you link to my onedrive to get it, file size 146MB. After you upload it to Lulu you can customize your own cover and back page.

I've just purchased a new 2025 Ram Tungsten, which they got from another dealer. The dealer only sent one key fob, and did not include the digital key card as advertised. My dealer got another key fob, but cannot seem to program the fob due to software issues. They also know nothing about the digital key fob that was supposed to come with the truck. Anyone else have issues getting new key fobs programmed? I've also noticed serveral issues when software updates come in. I set quite a few XM station presets, and they have been wiped out three times now when new updates come in. Very frustrating!

There are others in these forums that have issues with the NFC backup card. Some end up finding it in different places in the truck. If you haven't already, check all the nooks and crannies in the truck. Some found it under the back seat!
Tell your dealer to check page 18 of the Owner's Manual:

Thanks, I've been through the vehicle thoroughly, but to no avail. I showed the dealer the page in the owners' manual, and sent them a video of what the card looked like and how it is supposed to work. Still nothing! More annoying is the lack of a second keyfob. I have to remember to give my wife my key if we're swaping vehicles!

Hope they get you a working second FOB quickly. No excuse for that.
You could open a case with Ram Cares about both issues.

My suggestion is same as Ramboy13, if you are having any issues that the dealer can't resolve then call Ram customer care 800-399-2668 or 866-932-3878 to make your complaint. If your solution will cost you money for something that you are entitled too thinking it is part of the price you paid for the truck then the dealer can call Stellantis for a good faith financial support option. Sometimes Stellantis will cover the dealer's cost for their services.

Persistence and patients will usually prevail and if it doesn't then a good glass of bourbon will help calm the nerves in the mean time... 🥃

Spent a few days with my Tungsten now and figured I could contribute...

---Good---
-Exterior is great. Went over it with a fine tooth comb and all the lines are even and no issues. I get some comments that it looks like many other Rams out there and I like that. The trim level is slightly understated. Anyone that doesn't know what they are looking for will generally not notice that it is anything special. I like that it is a little more reserved and doesn't scream that it is a special truck. Only difference in the exterior with the Limited that I can see is the badging obviously and the front bumper being all one piece.
-Interior is absolutely gorgeous. I was a little weary of the light colored leather, but it's more of a grey than a white and that makes me feel like it won't show as much dirt or wear. Time will tell on that. Love the suede roof liner. The accent lighting is subtle but adds to the looks.
-Comfort- dear lord is this thing comfortable. The seats adjust in 20 different adjustments and I'm still fine tuning the set up. Everything it easily reachable without having to stretch out to push a button. The heating and ventilated seats/steering wheel are coming in handy, but not unlike what you would find on any other vehicle. The massage is the best I've seen any any vehicle and while I've never owned a car with massaging seats, I've test driven quite a few and ridden in many. This one is top notch.
-Sound system- Klipsch knocked it out of the park. Sound is crisp and clear. I have a side hustle helping a friend with a party bus company. He spent a lot of money on loud/top of the line sound systems and the system in this truck is much better in clarity and even loudness than the bus. If the massaging seats are too deep of a massage for you, just turn up the radio and get a nice gentle bass massage. Also, noticed there is not rattle on the truck when the sound is at max like you hear from so many rice burners that the kids are putting systems in.
-Technology- So much going on here. I'm finding new things every day that I didn't even know about. I spent a couple of hours going through the Uconnect system looking at every single option and I'm going to end up going back through it all to adjust and find more things.
-Rear view Mirror-Took me a minute to figure out how to flip it to digital mode, but love it. Very clear image that works well regardless of lighting situation.
-Exterior cameras-Love the surround view. Love that the center console switches to a display of the camera when your turn signals activate. I do wish that the truck displayed in the surround view was the same color as the truck you were in(seems minor, but seems like something they missed at the same time). I do wish there was a quick way to see the cameras when parking. Maybe that's just a learning curve thing, but wish it was there. They have curb view built into it, but it doesn't activate on it's own so you have to navigate some screens to see it. Also wish it would show my front camera when I was parking so I could see how close I am. The park sense seems to be a lot more lenient than my previous 2017 and doesn't start alerting me until I'm closer than I feel comfortable with(again may be a learning curve).
-Trailer Tow Mirrors- I may have messed up by ordering these on a 1500. Might be overkill. They are just so big. I'm getting used to them and having the bigger mirrors is nice for visibility in them, but the can hide a full size truck behind them. Seems to really only be an issue at 4 way stops seeing cross traffic and I'll probably get used to them. I have them set to rotate down when I reverse and that is great. Someone else mentioned that they don't always return to where you had them set when you switch back to drive and I'm paying attention to that, but have not noticed it just yet.
Performance-Still breaking it in and taking it easy on it, but it does have some get up and go. More than a standard Ford Raptor.
Daily Driving-Smooth!!!! The assisted driving on this things performs exceptionally well. The lane assist is smooth and not jerky. I can set the cruise control at the speed limit and the truck will keep with traffic and even stop and start during stop and go traffic. So in that mode, I just have to have my hands on the wheel, but it does everything else. It steers, stops and accelerates from a stop. The only thing you have to do is override it for stop signs and traffic lights. Then there is the hands free driving on select roads(typically interstates and major highways). This works even better. It was nerve wrecking to test, but after only a few attempts at it, I'm very comfortable with trusting it. While it's probably not something that most of us would use on a daily commune or short trips, I can see this being amazing on a long road trip. It's so easy to turn on though, that I find myself turning it on for the short commute home anyway. Even changing lanes is smooth with it. Just flip the signal on and it will check and make the shift one lane at a time. I'll test it more thoroughly, but I believe you have to click the signal off and then back on to change multiple lanes.

---Bad---
-Digital Key- For some reason they call the key card a digital key. I haven't tried the key card yet, but it really seems like a gimmick. I guess it's a lot smaller to carry than the regular key, but you do have to hold it against the door to unlock and then in a certain spot to start the truck. So you still have to pull it out of your pocket as opposed to the regular key or the phone as key. Again, seems gimmicky.
-Phone as key- Advertised and the functionality isn't there. It's in the Uconnect system, but not released in the app yet. So it seems like it's waiting on the phone app to be updated. As others have said, Ram has not announced when this will be available. It would not surprise me if they never release it even though earlier model years have it(or so I believe).
-Automated parking-Another item that was advertised as standard on the Tungsten by Ram, but got changed to late availability. Look I'm fully capable of parking my own truck, that's not the issue. The issue is that you advertised an item as standard and then changed it to late availability. Again, previous model years have this feature. While Ram has updated their website to state late availability, that's not what was on the site when I ordered it.
-Performance-Yes, positive and negative!! Look I know going super fast in a full size truck is not the greatest of ideas and can be dangerous. But if done in a safe environment(track days) I should be able to really test this thing out. Who designs an engine for high output performance, touts the acceleration as a selling point and then governs the thing to top out at 105mph.

If anyone has any comments or questions about it or wants anything specific delved into, let me know. There's probably utility that it has that I haven't found yet. Also, anyone know why we don't have a Tungsten specific forum like they do for every other trim level? Would be nice to have that, not as a members only club, but just a place to find Tungsten specific threads.
I'd like to know if any of you are having any issues with the navigation system not holding the destination. On my 2025 Tungsten, when you come to a stop and then start going forward, the navigation loses its destination and has to be reset. I have had it to the dealer and they tell me an over the air update will come to fix it but its been 4 months now.

Nope sorry I'm not having that issue. Considering I'm not, maybe a factory reset of your computer would work.

Only issue I have with mine is that the gauges widget rarely works.

Just picked up my Tungsten and really enjoying it - Only concerns are gas mileage, homelink not working with Liftmaster and the Multi function tailgate not working with Barn doors. A few times, the preference set have reverted back and I have had to reprogram ( Blinker Cameras, Auto fold mirrors, Park sense cameras)

Other than these - it has been the most comfortable ride - I traded out of a 2022 MD GLS 450 and the Ram is better -

Congratulations on the new truck! Glad to hear good news.
Not happy to hear of issues. Homelink should work with Liftmaster.... I've always had challenges getting it programmed, but hopefully you'll get it nailed soon.
What's up with the barn doors? I'm getting my truck in the next week or so, and I can only hope the dealer checked them in the PDI.

The regular tailgate works, but you press down to unlatch barndoors - nothing engages - almost like its locked
