2025 Tungsten - Good/Bad

The regular tailgate works, but you press down to unlatch barndoors - nothing engages - almost like its locked
That sucks. Maybe someone else here will have an idea. Shame to have to take it in soon for service.

Had my first experience with the CEL this weekend. Truck was operating just fine as I was parked waiting to give someone a ride a whole three blocks. Once we started moving, I noticed a severe lack of power. Like it was in limp mode. Once you broke through the initial acceleration, it worked fine. Additional symptom was flickering of the headlights. CEL came on flashing and I limped it to a parking spot just being cautious. Restarted the vehicle and the CEL was still flashing. I relaxed and let it sit off for about an hour and a half before trying again. CEL was still on but not flashing, so I got it home and it functioned just like it did prior to any of this(full power/no limp mode). The truck sat all of yesterday and when I got in it this morning, the CEL was gone. My RAM connect app did not capture this event or give me any notice about it. I'll swing it by the dealership this week and see if they can pull any codes.

Hoping it was just a software issue that needed to reboot from scratch/ghost in the machine. I'll keep you all posted.

Just picked up my Tungsten and really enjoying it - Only concerns are gas mileage, homelink not working with Liftmaster and the Multi function tailgate not working with Barn doors. A few times, the preference set have reverted back and I have had to reprogram ( Blinker Cameras, Auto fold mirrors, Park sense cameras)

Other than these - it has been the most comfortable ride - I traded out of a 2022 MD GLS 450 and the Ram is better -
Blinker cameras?? I don't have this selectable on my Tungsten.

It's finally home! It's been a long wait, but I'm thrilled. Spent the last 4 hours just trying to find my way around all the settings. It got here just before dark, so didn't have a lot of daylight.
Kudos to Mark Dodge for a great experience. Everyone was great, especially Anthony (THANK YOU). They coordinated shipping from LA to NY, and unbelievably it left there yesterday and it was delivered late today.

I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this, but has anyone found any info on how to adjust the 24-way seats from the door? I know it's easy to do from Uconnect on the center screen, but I'd like to know exactly how the door switches work. The manual isn't very clear.

Update on Tailgate - Dealer looked at it and said the hardware was not aligned properly ( They said all internal parts are plastic ) they fixed it so it works, but now I have a gignificant gap between the gate and the bed sides - about an inch or two - so it wont be water tight - Back to the dealer soon.

Same here, but Looking at it, where the right tailgate prop cable, where it attached to the tailgate, there is a keyed washer that was not flush with the side of the tailgate preventing the eye loop of the cable from moving smoothly, I slight tape with a flat blade screw driver and a hammer bent it flush with the tailgate, and problem solved. The cable was damaged by the time I got the truck, so my dealer ordered new cables and will replace them for me. I can take a picture if you like.

Good info - thanks! I'll take a look. I think my tonneau cover is the culprit, but I'll check this too.

This is the keyed washer that was not sitting flush with the tailgate, a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer with a easy couple taps made the washer flush allowing the cable to move freely and fall into the channel that guides the cable in place. Otherwise it gets trapped between the tailgate and the side fender causing the gap. Note the damage to the cable covering.

I have a Liftmaster and I was able to get it to work. I had no issues, getting it to work on the first try. Maybe I just got lucky.

I tried linking my Craftsman wifi enabled door opened based on the instruction given in the owners manual, and found that it was NOT a rolling code system as they describe, but I followed the method of using a included remote that came with the opener, and held it close to the homelink control, and that worked as described. I did not need to press the remote learn from the door opener. Worked perfectly!

My suggestion is same as Ramboy13, if you are having any issues that the dealer can't resolve then call Ram customer care 800-399-2668 or 866-932-3878 to make your complaint. If your solution will cost you money for something that you are entitled too thinking it is part of the price you paid for the truck then the dealer can call Stellantis for a good faith financial support option. Sometimes Stellantis will cover the dealer's cost for their services.

Persistence and patients will usually prevail and if it doesn't then a good glass of bourbon will help calm the nerves in the mean time... 🥃
Thanks for the suggestion! The truck is supposed to come with 2 keyfobs, so there should be no cost to me. I'll call RAM customer care and make my complaint!

Anyone in the Toronto area get their Hand's Free system to work? I have tried three routes within proximity to me that Stellantis claims are mapped - Hwy 400, Hwy 11, and the 410 and the system continues to state that I am on an unrecognized road for ADA on the driver assist screen. I have adaptive engaged, and then click the ADA button and it never leaves hands on mode.

Can I stray from this thread just a little bit and ask the Tungsten owners this question? When checking Oil On the new Ram I-6 where exactly is full on the gauge? Is it at the very top where the red mark begins? Is it at where at the lowest point of red mark stops at the full mark of the gauge begins to end the red mark? From very beginning to end on the gauge, is that one quart? The owner's manual tells you all about where the gauge is and to expect the motor to use some oil during break in, but does not explain how to read the gauge. It does not explain the red marks at full and end of the gauge at all. Leaving a complete mystery to know what usage has taken place from gauge measurements as to where should you add oil or how much?
