SHO, but I think thinkpics would be awesome. Is this rho only or all models.
The wiring harness configuration under the truck going to the rear end is the same.

SHO.I’ll have to check this out if my new pcm doesn’t fix it. Are you in a RHO?
What's a SHO?SHO.
A TaurusWhat's a SHO?
His computer is doing auto correct.A Taurus![]()
No way. You had a post with capitalization and punctuation! Lol.His computer is doing auto correct.
The first pic shows where to look under the truck.
Sorry, fat finger. I do not have the High Output. What's a SHO?
What trim level is your truck?Sorry, fat finger. I do not have the High Output.
Bighorn. 4x4. Tow package with hooks. What trim level is your truck?
No, but it could be related to @Trbsince87 ‘s issue/problemApproximately 2 weeks ago my bighorn decided that it believes I now have a trailer attached to it (I do not). When I have my turn signal activated and lay onto the brakes, it'll chime a warning stating that I have a trailer light out. Then it will say to check trailer connection. The trailer symbol will come on and my dash will throw a few warnings regarding checking lights and switch back and forth from auto length to 30' blind spot monitoring. It eventually clears but will happen all over again once I signal while on the brakes. If just braking or just signaling by itself, no issues. Anyone else experience this? Bighorn SST with 4700 miles over about 7 months, no tow package or trailer brake controller. Truck was basically flawless up until this.
I did tow my ATV trailer about a 6 weeks ago for a few hours and it does have a bad light FWIW
That's what I'm considering as well. I see a few others have expressed the same issue elsewhere on this forum. Would be concerning if this will slowly affect all models. Right now it's just regarding the phantom trailer's brake light. Praying it doesn't spread and have very little confidence in my local dealer's mechanicsNo, but it could be related to @Trbsince87 ‘s issue/problem

Yeah, I'll get under it after work and respond backSee if you have the same vulnerability underneathIf you do I recommend taking it to the dealership, tell them about this issue. The more people that report it, the more likely and possibly faster a fix will come

I did tow my ATV trailer about a 6 weeks ago for a few hours and it does have a bad light FWIWI know your not the only one guilty of this so this is for everyone who "Hijacked" this thread and took it waaaayyyy off topic. This helps no one, to sift through 77 pages of crap..because you people cant start your own thread about an entirely different issue. Many of us just want to learn what we need to do regarding the Trailer Brake Controller install so that we can get it handled. But instead, the info is likely buried in all this BS.
@Honda533 @BTheez :This has nothing to do with the trailer brake controller, as i don't have one. This is a 2025 discussion thread and I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. If this is considered hijacking, I apologize to the OP
So I do have the same electrical box underneath. Funny enough, the issue did not occur on my drive home today. Go figure. If it happens again, I'll schedule a service and let the manager know of others' issues expressed here. I've referenced this forum in the past for my 2019, and it helped motivate service.See if you have the same vulnerability underneathIf you do I recommend taking it to the dealership, tell them about this issue.
