2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

2025 Ram 1500 Warlock

750 miles-Technician diagnosed that the clock spring is bad.

Besides that, I am really liking the truck. Just a little bummed that I have to have something fixed this early in my ownership.
I’ve always found that click springs are hit or miss. I had one replaced, then drove right back and they had to replace it again. Then it was solid🤷🏻‍♂️

I am really not excited about having my new vehicle took apart, but I guess that I have no choice. Is this a very invasive job? The turn signal really seems to pop up hard when returning to center after making a left turn? Could the clock spring be part of the issue, or would a bad turn signal damage the clock spring? I have heard of clock spring issues, but never had a vehicle of my own that needed one replaced.

It’s overall, not bad. Basically take off the steering wheel, take out the bad one, install the new one and put the wheel back on. If your steering wheel makes a more than minimal clicking noise when you turn it, it’s the clock spring. Generally, same for hard blinkers

First one is the drivers, and the second is the passenger side. I'll get the rear set when I get all the dog stuff out of the back. Looking closer it appears the floormats have all the part numbers on them. 82216606AB, 07AB, 08AB, 09AB, 10AB. I did some searching on a couple of Mopar parts sites and they are all black. The only part number missing from their listing is 82216608AB. I am going out on a limb and say that the 08 prefix part is the brown set. Maybe you can call your dealer to see if the brown is backordered or something. They are nice mats, deep grooves to hold the mess.
Funny thing, I just looked at your signature. I have ordered a Billet Silver truck with black interior back in August. This truck showed up on car carrier in September and my dealer called me to come take a look as I had not seen the Level II stuff yet. My 17 was white with tan interior, my dealer warned me it was DelMonico red, as he knows I prefer lighter colored vehicles. Walked into the showroom and said to myself, "you need a little color in your life". Didn't hurt that he gave me 14K off MSRP.
Thanks so much for the pictures and part numbers - appreciate your help woth that. Yeah I started with a 2014 Bright Silver Big Horn QC gray interior, then had a Billet 2019 Big Horn CC Black Interior, then a 2021 Billet Laramie Black Interior but it had light tan headliner, and then a 2023 Laramie all black. I Keep the silver because I move my topper each time but was happy for a new interior choice on the 2025.

After the 1st time I had the clock spring replaced on my 23 for not resetting after a left blinker I would have agreed. Then I had the replacement start to fail (same issue) but the part was back ordered. Then they released a recall for it and I got an appointment and they got the part the same day - all great until I go to pick it up and now I have dash lights for airbags not working and SOS calls unavailable... turns out the tech broke some wires when installing the new part. That was 18 days ago and my truck has been at the dealership the whole time with no eta on the part after initially being told 8 days and then an update the order was cancelled by Stellantis and they had to re-order on 1/21 with no ETA on the newly ordered part. Fortunately they gave me a loaner free of charge and seem willing to still take the truck on trade when my 2025 order gets delivered this week or next and then the wait will be on them so they can sell my truck!

i am also looking for the 2025 ram long horn brown slush mats can only find the black

I have a 2025 Rebel with a bit over 2K miles. A couple weeks ago I went to start it and it was dead, no power, I took it to the dealer and they said the cable negative terminal on the aux battery wasn't connected properly. They fixed it made sure the batteries were fully charged and returned it to me. A couple days later and it happened again, I took it back to the dealer and this time they said that the push start button was defective. They replaced the switch and both batteries and I picked it up yesterday. This morning when I went to start it and it was dead, same issue. Took it back for a third time and they said that they will need a couple days to figure it out. I have not added anything extra to the electrical system and so I'm not very happy with the way things are going.

I reached out to the manufacturer today and requested a buy back, they opened a case and will be reaching out to me in 2 or 3 days.

Not sure what state you're in. Is that enough to trigger a lemon law?

Either way, it's sad. There are quite a few similar dead battery issues in the forum, yet there doesn't seem to be common cause (if any causes are even determined).
Hope this works out one way or another for you.

Maybe under the new CEO, Stalantis will come up with a wizbang software solution and - presto-whammo - the best RAM model year to date!!!!

Couple of times now I'll be idling in my truck at work and my screen will go to tire pressure info screen and hazard lights begin to flash, has happened 3 times already. Tires are not low there's no other messages. Yesterday I went out to lunch and the forward collision light came on, was puzzled but just ignored it. Parked at restaurant ate lunch came back out and now both forward and rear collision lights are on. After reading all the issues some people are having I was like oh no not me too, and then, before I even made it back to the plant, out of no where I noticed the blind spot monitoring lights on also, then boom everything back to normal, all lights out , got message " auto emergency braking is on " . Don't know why it was off to begin with but I'm glad it's working again. Wonder if anyone else has had this happen?

I tried uploading the video I took of the blinking lights but it said it was too large!

They outright denied the buyback but will be working with the dealership to get the issues resolved. Which is fine because there's a couple weeks away from the law in Washington regarding he truck being in the shop for 30 days required to activate the lemon law.

Can the law work backward in time? I don't think its retroactive.
So will be 30 days in shop from passing the law date

Just got my 2025 Laramie this week and loving it so far. I noticed the cameras turn on when the park sensors are activated which is awesome - maybe my 23 had that to bit I just didn't have the option turned on? Like the zones for heat/cooled seats, new rear seat armrest, dual wireless charger, keycard option instead of fob, brown/Sea salt interior and of course the smooth and powerful hurricane.

Turns out the brown mats are currently only available installed from the factory. I decided to just get a black set from the Mopar store as they were on $63 and they actually look great.20250131_192018.jpg20250131_191956.jpg

black looks awesome love that interior color wish rebel offered that. I have full black leather an i like the leather seats with cloth mesh in the middle and lower back better you pay an extra 1700 for basically 8 squares of leather that stretches and wrinkles where the mesh didn't.

Just pop them out from the front with a screwdriver or the end of a broom handle. They're not screwed in any more. They'll push right out. Good news is, the passenger side tow hook is a cake walk. The driver side, not so much. The passenger side took me 10 minutes at best, the driver side, however, ate up most of an hour. Lots of stuff in the way. This was done laying on my back in the driveway.
What trim level do you have? My Laramie has a screw and 3 clips holding the tow hook covers in place. I got the screw out but can't figure out the clip release for the life of me. Maybe you just broke them by pushing?

New feature I discovered on 2025 models with 360 surround camera - in parking and safety menu you can select cameras with parksense and the camera associated with a sensor registering an object will turn in. Super helpful for me pulling into the garage and need to nose up to the wall.

I'm going through the options about the same time as you. I went through every single option when I first got the truck, but honestly was overwhelmed and didn't fully understand every single one.

I back my truck into the garage, and have a 4x4 bolted to the floor as a stop because I have to back it up to kiss the back wall. My 2014 Laramie was the 6'4" bed, and when touching the back wall, the garage door would miss the front bumper by less than an inch. My 2025 is the short box, and I have maybe a couple of extra inches, but still very close.
The first time trying to back in, I was close - watching the camera - when it felt like I hit the wall. Got out and checked, and I still had a couple of inches to go. Took me a minute, and then I realized it was an auto brake. I ended up shutting off the "Rear Parksense Braking Assist" in the Safety/Driving Assist menu. It's a pretty nice feature most of the time.

There are a lot of options to go through and the cameras on woth parksense seems like it keeps turning itself off on mine so I need to investigate a bit more. I always turned of the rear braking on my 21 because it works slam the brakes coming out of my driveway but my 23 and 25 are fine after adjusting the sensitivity which might help you if you haven't already tried that. The on time my 21 slammed on the rear brakes I was on a trail at a friend's house and couldn't figure out what caused it to break suddenly. Got out to investigate and saw a skunk running away and smelled the result of the truck s bring it so bad it sprayed the underside!
