2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

2025 RAM Rebel X

1. Had a problem with sound going completely out during a drive. Reset the radio, and factory reset didn't fix. Shut the truck off for an hour and everything came back.

2. Doors don't auto lock when driving. (Vehicle states it has this feature)

3. All screens reset while driving on interstate turning off my map and radio for over 15 minutes.

4. My profile settings will not save. Have to turn cameras back on every day.

5 (This one is on me) The tow mirrors are it the way. Its hard to see at an intersection with them there.

Just hit 2k miles on the truck so that's my only gripes for now.

Hope you get the issues fixed soon. As for the tow mirrors i never thought they looked good on the Rams and since i don't tow much i never would get one with them. I think you can get them replaced with reg ones if you want.

With the recent chatter on doors auto locking when driving, I took a look in my settings. I remembered enabling the feature, but it never worked.

The option is no longer available in the settings. Poof. Gone

🤷

Have so much to say but i won't. These mechanics are part replacement specialist . They don't have have a clue. I call them chat gbt mechanics ai Youtube mechanics . The one old head at the dealer does engines only or transmissions REPLACEMENT with reman parts . Back in the day we would take something apart fix it make it better.Today they replace a part 3 days later a new problem or was it the original problem.
Agree. I went thru hell with my 2014 and the air suspension. The “mechanics” at three different local dealerships were totally useless. I tried to help them troubleshoot (I am an avionics/electrical engineer), but they wouldn’t put any extra effort into it. And to be honest, they flat out lied about replacing some parts (I had chalked them prior to dropping off).
In the end they just said the system wouldn’t work in the Northeast US, and I’d have to replace with springs, at my cost. I had the lifetime Maxcare warranty, too. But after leaving the truck at the dealerships for 4-6 weeks at a time, many times, I had to give up.
I like the term “replacement techs” - that’s very fitting.

I don't see anything in the settings either ,but my doors do lock once i start driving.

Anyone have any luck replacing the front turn signal? I know someone posted on here their big hands wouldn’t work. I can get my hands on the plug/fin of it but not sure which way to turn and don’t want to snap it off. I have the switchbacks from my 22 that will fit.

I did mine, just turn them in the counterclockwise direction, the whole piece will come out. they are a bear to break loose and a bit of a challenge to get back in oriented to align with the socket.

my truck is sitting at the dealer now, after sitting overnight on Christmas totally dead batteries. 1400 miles.
My truck is ready to pick up, they replaced both batteries and claim this fixed all the other issues I was complaining about. There is oil coming from the bell housing hole, they said they couldn't find the leak, added dye and drove 4 miles, no its back on me to drive it until its dripping again.

i hope they fixed the surge .

i hope they fixed the surge .
they replaced the batteries and said that was the cause of all my woes. They could not find an oil leak after 2 days of trying and adding dye. I drove the 2 miles home and took this pic. Also sent them the driveway pic.

Just got mine back from the dealer because of the CEL. It has a faulty coolant bypass valve B which had to be ordered.
Anyone else have this issue?

An issue I just noticed with mine last night is my approach lights (the headlights and tail lights) do not come on when I unlock the truck, even though that setting is turned on in the settings. smh.

Has oil level dropped at all and where is oil level. Its kind of weird that hole is even there like that. Its even running on felt covered oil pans . When i changed my oil and seen that on the oil pan omg really. Also what do you think that bolt on the oil pan is for . Its like right above drain plug. There's so little info on the mechanics of this engine .

i have a loaded rebel and mine didn't work this morning to it sucks 90 percent of time they do work. i relocked it walk back in house . Then walked back out then they worked my hole truck lights up before you unlock it when your about 5 feet away. Why pay for the nicer options if they only work when they want to.

I "had" an appointment at 9:30 for the recall inspection. Took it in at 8:30 to drop it off. Service advisor tells me they're way behind on the Chrysler's and asks if they can reschedule me. Visions of my truck sitting there for days ran through my brain, so I agreed and left.

She says someone was supposed to call the customers about it. Uh, they did. To confirm my 9:30 appointment. Geez!

I asked about "speed sensitive door locks" not working and "Travel Link". Of course they asked if I had called Sirius, customer care, ram connect. Yes. Several times over a period of weeks. That's not going to help me. All of those places said to bring it back to the dealer, and that's you.

I read on here about someone's dealer fixing the locks, so I explained what the other dealer did. If it is that it's not enabled, someone needs to look for a Travel Link option.

I've had experiences like this at other manufacturer's dealers, my shocked face wasn't necessary.

They've made vehicles overly complicated. Exceeding the capabilities of their technicians. The customers are powerless and stuck in this cyclone of ignorance and slothful mentality.
