2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

man dude so sorry man this sucks i feel your pain. Did the battery replacement fix surge and jerking issues. You are the man with the proof cause you had two one perfect one bad just like mine.
taking it on a 600 mile trip this morning. anytime the batteries are disconnected the trans behavior becomes good and after a while it goes back to the surge.

I know runs nice for about 100 miles. The little battery is for many things and one is to keep hydraulic pressures up .which they turned up a few years ago when e torque started .Well hope trip is good.

I did mine, just turn them in the counterclockwise direction, the whole piece will come out. they are a bear to break loose and a bit of a challenge to get back in oriented to align with the socket.
Got em in! Agreed it was a pain but using pliers helped. Was harder removing them than it was to reinstall them however.

An issue I just noticed with mine last night is my approach lights (the headlights and tail lights) do not come on when I unlock the truck, even though that setting is turned on in the settings. smh.
Do yours come on when you actually approach the vehicle? I verified on mine that they do it for both unlocking and approaching.

They only work on approach with Laramie and up. Otherwise it’s only when unlocked by the fob. If you don’t have touch/passive entry, the truck doesn’t look for the key

For Head unit glitches- in the past when I’ve had them I’ve done a factory reset and a bunch went away. It’s absolutely a PITA but when it gets frustrating enough I do it. Sometimes I take pictures of stuff I want to re-setup the same 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just noticed, mine too. My mirror floods turn on but not the headlights.

Also, although the setting is gone, my doors auto-lock @ 15mph or so.

Ya, my mirror lights light up as they're supposed to, but the headlights and tails do not come on when I unlock the truck. I have an appointment Friday morning for them to adjust the position of my steering wheel since it's off and to the right some. I'll see what they say about the approach lights not working as well.

Please let us know!!

stage 1 of the trip is complete. Went to Sequoia National Park and back home the same day. Today we are heading for AZ to exercise some 2A rights.

only thing I noticed is battery voltage is a lot lower than I've seen. high 12's to low 13's. stayed consistently low the whole trip, checked voltage with key on - eng off, mid 12's... I am concerned about that.

Great! Now I have dash envy…
Sounds like the alternator/associated circuitry to me.
