2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I'm going to have to look at where this sensor is located at. So far it hasn't come back on. I'll report back if it does.
So this happened when you changed your own oil when it was on ramps? Or first showed up when the dealer did it

@Brahmajoe, I couldn’t quote you because your reply is somehow in my quote.
Anyway, I’m probably the last person you want oil change advice from, but no, I never bought into the early oil change on new vehicle reasoning. I always just run up to the recommended interval, or when the oil life monitor says, and I use the cheapest oil that meets the manufacturer recommendation that’s available at the time. I never check my oil level, and I just drain whatever comes out, and put back in whatever the capacity in the manual says. That’s just what has worked perfectly for me for my whole life of owning vehicles.

Ok, this is probably a dumb question, but I have searched on here and looked at a lot of pics of peoples '25 trucks, and I don't see any mud flaps on them?

I searched WT and Husky and they only show flaps for the front of the truck and not the rear? I see RAM has some in their accessory brochure, but do no aftermarket companies have rear flaps ready yet?

I think Husky used to make the Ram factory ones. I have ordered the ram ones and will post once the arrive.

I included a picture of my factory installed part number

I saw that, but can't figure out why the numbers are already replacing your part number which is correct -- there's a part number ending in 97AB, and 98AB. You'd think it would be one part number. Crazy

I got these right off the husky website .

Surprise, Surprise, check engine light came on today. 2025 Laramie with an August build and 3500 miles on it. I will be passing by the dealership tomorrow so they can scan the code. Here we go

If you use 87 or 89 it’s prob a misfire code, have you had any flash updates yet?

91 for HO. 87 for SO, unless towing heavy then 91

I have the SO, so I have been using 89. No towing. I was accelerating from a light up a slight incline, so maybe a little more into the pedal than normal.

The new update addresses knock sensors I think the low grade fuel sets it off

You’re wasting money IMHO. Stick with 87 or 91, I can’t imagine any perceived gain from 89. 91 will provide some gain.

To be honest, I wasn't even sure what fuel octane it asked for. I thought it recommended 89 but was still ok with 87. I guess I'm just carrying over the hemi fuel recommendations. In my area, the choices are 87, 89, or 93 at the Shell I always use.
