2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

TSB 18-071-24 was applied to my Rebel this week. Upon taking it in for the first oil change I asked them to scan and make any software updates that the wiTECH scan finds. I had the cold start stumble symptom but no check engine light. They applied the update as an RSU, and its been a few days and no cold start stumble.

Has anyone’s 2025 RAM had an electrical meltdown when stopping at a red light or stop sign? Twice today, my truck displayed a message about 4WD/parking brake and servicing the emergency brake for about a second or two before shutting down completely I had to restart it manually both times, and thankfully, no cars were behind me.
I’m concerned about the risk if this happens on the highway. I couldn't believe it just stalled like that wtf

I am having an issue when I stop, my headlights and front end lights flash. Basically turn off and then back on. It seems to happen randomly and only when auto start/stop is enabled.

I am going to take it in next week to see what they can do.

Not a CEL post but a PS announcement. If you change your own oil, a certain criteria must be met before the oil sensor will read correctly. I’ve done 3 changes now and have just recently discovered that I wasn’t checking the oil level properly. Here ya go. Unless you already knew. P.S. truck is running great after the flash, 1,300+ and no CEL. Also wanted to mention that it only reads the oil level during this time, my understanding is that if you drain the oil while the truck is running, it won’t show the low level until this criteria is met.

My Oil level never seems to budge despite my exhaust tips turning black a day after cleaning them. Direct injection engines do make more soot but I'm alway's thinking the truck must be burning oil even though the meter says it's not.

wtf that's crazy sit for four mins in run position lol. I did not do that at my 1800 mile oil change will do today.Mine has always been at top of redline near max before and after oil change . i know its quiet i know its faster but ugh. New front end on rebel and the new dash is the only thing i really like. O and the automatic close tailgate.

off road pages will tell you if you are on level ground for oil check for anyone that has that option.

Are you using 93 octane. My dad is old and drives slow he uses 87 exhaust is still silver inside. I use 93 mine are black too. Same with hemi dad used 89 exhaust silver inside.I used 93 in my hemis exhaust black inside.

This last time the CEL was for the fuel pressure sensor circuit performance. They called me last Thursday and mentioned they were changing the battery, pressure sensor, fuel pump and a seal. Not sure what seal, but they said they were just waiting for that seal. Last update I got was Monday that they were still waiting for the seal but they didn't have an ETA. I called yesterday and left a voicemail, but haven't heard back. I'm worried that with the holiday coming up that this truck is just going to sit there until the new year..
I had fuel pressure cel with in the first 8 hrs of owning my 2025 SO. It was the high pressure fuel pump. Pumps are on back order. Mine is now repaired and pumps are thill on back order. It has been a huge pita. Stellantis communication is a joke.

Great so if they are on back order it might be a while until I get my truck back. I called the dealer twice last week and ram and didn’t hear back from any of them.

All parts are on back order. iIs new design the parts are being used to build them and dealers are owed money. Stellantis hasn't been paying anyone so dealers are in no rush. If your truck is drivable you keep it and wait for part to come in. They make money on storage. You always stay for diagnosis this way it will get done .Tell them i am staying and i will wait . Don't call go in person.your the boss honey don't work with them. I got one 2018 ram new design just came out someone hit me from behind .Truck was body shop for six months waiting on parts same situation .

I had a similar incident. 2 months ago to the day my emergency brake engaged for no reason. Luckily no one was hurt. Yesterday the emergency brake engaged and then the truck stalled at 55 mph.i was able to drive to the dealership and was promised priority. (It didn’t happen).last time no issues were found and of course couldn’t recreate. I reported to NHTSA and I suggest everyone do the same.

My 25 Rebel did that on my drive home from the dealership. After they talked to the ram engineers it turned out to be a bad secondary battery (the little one for auto stop/start). Been running great since they replaced the battery. I now have 472 miles.
I’ve had the same issue. Twice now in 2 months. First time the e brake went on. This time e brake went on and the truck stalled. Dealer has now. Last time they found no problems.

Picked up my truck from the dealership last week, but they couldn’t replicate the issue I’m having. It only happens sometimes like once every other day or so, but only when start/stop is engaged. Everything is fine during the auto stop but the moment when I apply the gas to take off, the truck immediately shuts off/loses power. Or it stays on and starts spitting out all kinds of error messages on the dashboard then it shuts off. I have to restart it manually in the middle of traffic when the red light has already turned green lol
The dealership says batteries are fine, so I’m guessing it’s something else electrical harness-wise. I've been turning off the start-stop for now to avoid this issue. I feel like the cold weather has something to do with it as well, but it still shouldn't be happening in the first place smh

Anyone have a Service Uconnect System at Dealership pop on their Infotainment screen? I had this pop up twice and disappear. Doesnt appear to be affecting anything and I'd rather not have to go to the dealership unless I have to. Thank you in advance.

I had it pop up a few times and it eventually stopped.

Yep. This has been going on for the last couple of weird. It didn't seem to be bothering anything but today I had some major gremlins with uconnect and connecting my phones.

The little electrical gremlins have been the worst part of my truck so far in 19,000 miles. The parking brake will randomly be on when I start my truck, uconnect issues and Ramboxes not unlocking will happen occasionally. I love my truck but these get to be annoying.

Consider returning this truck. This issue is not good at all.

2025 RAM 1500 3.0 I Hurricane TT Standard Output: A Six-Month Review

Current Modifications:

  • Interior: Custom red leather upholstery
  • Exhaust: High-flow exhaust system upgrade
  • Audio: SKAR Dual 12" 1,600 Watts Max Power Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure, paired with a SKAR RP-1200.1D monoblock amplifier
  • Exterior: ALIEN custom black coated steel rollbar with spikes
Performance Evaluation: After six months of ownership, the 2025 RAM 1500 3.0 I Hurricane TT has demonstrated exceptional performance capabilities, primarily attributed to its responsive engine and the aftermarket high-flow exhaust system. The stock exhaust was replaced to enhance the vehicle’s primal acoustic profile, which not only augmented the auditory experience but seemingly improved performance metrics as well. However, it is important to note the vehicle's fuel efficiency, which stands at an average of 17 miles per gallon under spirited driving conditions—a figure that aligns with expectations for a truck of this caliber, though it remains a point of consideration for potential buyers.

Comfort and Usability: The cabin offers a warm and comfortable environment, albeit with some drafts experienced during colder months, suggesting slight improvements could be made in insulation.

Service and Maintenance: The service quality provided by RAM has been generally satisfactory, though not without room for improvement. A notable concern has been the high turnover rate among mechanics and managerial staff, which could impact the consistency and reliability of service, especially about specialized Hurricane engine maintenance.

Corporate Oversight and Customer Relations: STELLANTIS, the parent company, faces significant challenges in customer relationship management and service quality assurance. The persistent issues within their flagship truck line are exacerbated by perceived neglect in addressing customer complaints effectively, inadequate communication, and a lack of proper training for service personnel. To sustain and grow customer loyalty, it is imperative that STELLANTIS undertakes a comprehensive overhaul of its management practices and commits to substantial improvements in product quality and customer service.

Conclusion: The 2025 RAM 1500 3.0 I Hurricane TT Standard Output excels in performance but is let down by suboptimal service experiences and corporate oversight. For STELLANTIS, the path forward should involve a strategic realignment focusing on customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and internal training to avoid becoming obsolete in a competitive market.
