2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

You know I just got my truck back from PPF and ceramic coating and I too just noticed a whistling sound which sounds like it's coming from the passenger side. I assume it's some sort of vacuum leak from the turbos' plumbing somewhere. Who knows. Until it throws a light there's no way to tell.
i know build quality hit or miss i think no cel bad running trucks have twisted wire harness

surging bucking in turbo car could be a million things but one little leak or bad connection in plumbing causes these symptoms we are having and i don't think it would cause cel never wanted cel so bad in my life

I have noticed the light throttle surging a bit after ya'll mentioned it. I paid attention to it more. I don't think it does it every time and mine seems to be very slight although not super noticeable. I am willing to bet that we are all just more in tune with what our vehicles are doing and notice literally every little thing. It's a curse...

I had an Aug build Rebel that did not do this, I ended up in an Oct build Rebel and it does do this, completely different throttle response/surging. Very noticeable.

Mine is a August build. I suppose it is very noticeable now that I think about it.

no way it feels like ok ill run on six o no i run 5 now o no i run 6 again constant after each shift it double surges does not do it cold takes about 20 mins of driving and to not feel it shift have to be above 3000 and when it drops down gotta keep it above 2500

its annoying cause i 80 percent of the time i live at shift 2200 drop down to 1700 that's where this shutter lives lol

i have one question for all where are you guys shifting at going up to speed maybe i drive it to slow making the surge more noticeable

you said the one you have is surging oct build is it faster than the aug 1 build with no surging
under light throttle the newer truck feels like its losing a little power under light acceleration, like throttle valve position changing, or turbo pressure changing, maybe trans acting funny... hard to put a finger on it. I haven't tried anywhere close to full throttle yet as I have not hit 300 miles. this thing surges real bad on cold starts too, my last one had this and some misfire on startup, they did a software update and the misfire went away.

its also annoying that these trucks go into high idle on start up, even if the engine isn't cold.

That is true as long as you don't mind being without your truck, while you still make payments on it, for however long it takes to fix it. Or, like in the case of mine, they (ram) apparently do not yet know HOW to fix it. I must admit, I'm perplexed as to how you got your dealer to work in a Toyota backed warranty in a ram truck, or am I missing something

So there are a few different warranty’s I was looking at. The Mopar warranty’s were way higher priced. Buying the Toyota backed warranty was a puzzling deal in my mind as well. The dealer is Peppers Automotive in Paris TN, and they sell that extended warranty on a ton of their vehicles. This is my 4th Ram and I’ve never had an issue when I did have to use it twice in the past. Couldn’t tell you how it’s backed but it is. Not cheap, but less than the Mopar extended. As far as fixes for the 25’ I never encountered the engine light, I’m at 1700 miles. Did have the weird flutter (miss) during high idle, took it in for the ABS recall and they had updates available. So far it idols smooth on cold start and haven’t experienced anything else. We will see.

i know same issues so pissed crazy fully hot comeback out of store start up high idle to clean off all the blow by i hate to say it cause wot is fun and it is quiet and smooth engines suck no way high millage will happen i found a 2024 longhorn 23000 off i hate to do it but i can't play this game with those dealers i am so upset i don't wanna be on the 500 news ruin my life so i might have to get rid of it i have stories for hours about this truck there's no fix i think its twisted wire harness done my jaw you can take out of ghetto can't take the ghetto out of them
