2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

I am curious -
Do you guys get the email from RAM to rate your last visit every time that you take in the truck for service?
I respond to them, not sure if it makes any difference.
I also get an email from the dealer to rate their service.

The Dealer email survey is for their records and marketing. The National Ram email survey is for Ram as well as rating their Dealers networks. I'll assume they have a tier level, as to better compensation for top rated Dealers. Some dealers will call you to help with the ratings for the National surveys, so they use theirs to help them gauge your response for the National survey. I've had many Dealers of different manufactures call me and request I give a excellent rating on the National survey, and if there is an issue, allow them to resolve it before you fill out the National survey.

Back when I got the survey, I gave the dealer a good rating. A few weeks later I got the survey for Ram and I gave them a poor rating. Not sure if it means anything though.

My update: they reached out and said they are ordering a catalytic converter and is severely on back order. Ridiculous! On a brand new truck

how long did update take did you wait for your truck i go in next week

Just took my truck back in to the dealer, since last visit where they found/fixed improperly installed charge air hose seal, it has almost stranded me at the gas station and then Sunday it started bucking and stalling, CEL came on, 7 misfire codes stored. It has run fine since, though the CEL has remained on. I did not clear the codes of course. Perhaps the new software update mentioned above will fix it.

Dealer called me just a couple minutes ago. They flashed the pcm and recalibrated the injectors, whatever that means. They said the calibration of the injectors should address the flooding I apparently had when it would not start at the gas pump last Monday. I asked if the pcm recalibration was just released this last Saturday, and he said yes, he thinks so. Truck is ready now, but I'm going to pick it up tomorrow because I have some stuff going on this afternoon. That's 2 out of 2 times now they've gotten it back to me on the same day it was dropped off. I'm very satisfied with the service department. Here's hoping it's really fixed!

It will be fixed... I have faith!

New to the forum in large part to follow and share on this thread.
My 2025 1500 Laramie SST is in the shop for a second time dealing with misfire codes (~1800 miles on the odometer). The SA has opened a StarCase, so I'll be not-so-patiently waiting for word on progress.
The first instance was P0300 and P0304. The second time, the P0000 codes was all my scan gauge would provide, but SA confirmed misfires on multiple cylinders.

I looked at a 2025 1500 with the 3.0 hurricane HO at a dealer and I wasn't able to test drive it as it had just been delivered and the check engine light was on right from the factory! Now I'm a little concerned about moving ahead with one of these new trucks!

I'd hold off. The use of the SST in the Grand Wagoneer may have given me a false sense of maturity for this engine. Looking back at an old Car-n-Driver article, it looks like the 2023 GW SST implementation was the HO version at 510hp. Since most of the misfiring reports are on the 420hp SO version, I have to wonder if it lacks the same level of understanding.

there is a new tab just released for these problems many have had the update with no problems i go in next week for mine its a new software update for pcm and icm

My SA said he applied the latest TSB without success, but YMMV. Some of the discussion in this thread indicates some extensive troubleshooting - from fuel injector replacement to MAP/O2/knock sensor sensitivity and my dealer even blamed the Phoenix heat and the need for 92octane. My cynical mind thinks the resolution will involve more than a PCM reflash and may come with a HP loss; but I really hope not.

As much as I'd like to upgrade to these new trucks, I'm a little concerned so many are having these cel issues with a vehicle right out of the factory that has such a high price tag!
