I recently started having the same problems.

One day: attempted to start truck, electronics went haywire with crackling in speakers, failed to start. Had the truck jumped, all was good besides CEL. Had the battery replaced.

Truck continued to drain battery overnight. Finally saw the speedometer and screen lighting up and shutting off on my security cameras. Key fob nowhere near.

Also, sometimes after start, screen would not power on and had no power to usb ports.

I am right out of warranty. Unfortunately have received shoddy service from two nearby dealers, took truck to moms/pops and they are 99% sure it’s BCM.

After reading through this I will be checking the BCM connections tomorrow and cleaning, also giving the fuses a thorough look through.

Any advice on how to clean connections on BCM?

I would remove and re-insert the connectors few times.
But before doing anything else, check the negative battery connection at the inner fender.
This is where all my battery drain problems stemmed from. YMMV.

I had the same issue at about 30k miles. Only a click when trying to start. Would jump it and it would randomly start. Progressively got more often. Jumping out quit working, but if be able to start it randomly. Took it to the dealership 3 times before they found the starter was bad. I'm at 138k miles and it's starting to do the same thing.

I’m here for guidance. Started took a crap on my 2020 (29,000mi) with the eTorque. But reading through these comments has my questioning the cause. I know I need a new starter, but I constantly get moisture in the cabin when it rains. Enough precipitation to run down the inside of my windshield in the morning some days.

Should I try and persuade things with the dealer? getting them to investigate the moisture-BCM-issue-and starter failure?

Or are is it a stretch that they are all causes/connected in this scenario?

The only other electrical issue I have noticed is the cigarette-lighter/port not connecting to things intermittently. That could also be the electronic I was using too.

I appreciate any thoughts.

Sounds like a case of water intrusion all right. Third brake light gasket, back light (window) frame, shark fin antenna to name the most common causes.
Should not have anything to do with he starter however?
