Hello! I am a new Ram owner as of a week and a half ago! Of a 2019 1500 Lone Star to be exact. It came with 18 inch wheels with those black Ram “hubcaps.” I’m looking for some aftermarket 18 inch wheels and it has been a pain. Discount Tire guy told me I should be fine with 18s and not to pay attention to the what the website says. Any experience with this? Didn’t see much in a search. Thanks! Happy to be a Ram owner finally!

I'll be following this for info.

I've got a '21 1500 on order that comes with 20" but I want a set of 18" for snow shoes. I'm not a car guy, so I'm clueless about what will fit on my vehicle (the whole offset thing especially is a mystery to me). My plan was to do an OEM size thinking that should be fool-proof but I've read conflicting things.

Offset is confusing to me as well. In my general knowledge it refers to how far your wheel either is inside the wheel well or outside your fender. If I’m remembering correctly, higher numbers mean wheels stick out further. Stock offset on Ram 1500 is like 19. Wide range will fit, comes down to how you want it to look since it sounds like you’re not going with big, aggressive tires.

I have the 18" x 9" Fuel Wheels on mine. Just go to there website and you can put in the truck type and wheel size and multiple options will come up.

Looks like quite a few guys go went with Fuel in my research. Good to know those work. They just tend to cost more than I want haha

You bought the truck...you can afford the wheels ;) Just promise us that you won't put Goodyear's on them...get a real tire!

:)

That's the camp I'm in. I want cheap 18" for winter shoes, they're going to look like utter crap anyways with all the salt and slush, so might as well not cost an arm and a leg.

Edited to add: Thank you for the offset info, I've never worried about anything but spacing/size/hub-centric-or-no. The offset thing was like...huh?

Not all 18” wheels work on our trucks. Make sure before you buy them that the mfg says they’ll work. It took me a lot of searching before I found ones that fit. Most of the ones I wanted to get wouldn’t work. It’s because of the size of the calipers

Thats what I’ve heard about 18s and why I set out to find some answers haha I checked out customwheeloffsets . com and been able to find a few things that fit based on pictures. At this point I think I found the wheels I want. They are Vision brand. I’ve seen vision wheels on rams. Will every vision wheel fit though? And will every fuel/method/and so on brand fit or is it just certain models? Guess I’m just going to have to test my luck lol

It’s just certain versions. Every mfg I looked at some of them worked and some of them didn’t. I have Vision Manx 2 on my truck right now but they are 20”

For everyone looking for 18's for winter, just buy someones take-offs. I'm sure there are a lot of people trying to get rid of there stock wheels for 20's or better looking 18's. Look on e bay and craigslist, maybe even that facebook market place thingy. That way they will be a direct bolt on with no issues and it doesn't matter what they look like.

Wow, I can’t believe how much bigger that 285/70/17 looks compared to the 275/70/17. I wanted to go with that size tire for My new 3500 but I couldn’t stomach the price jump.
Ya the price was a pain but they look, ride and tow great. Not sure if I’ll go with that size again. Maybe jump up to the 295s? Not sure

I picked up a "19" Laramie to replace my "15" Big Horn this spring.
My Laramie has the factory 18" rims, because I always run a dedicated snow tire I started looking for spare rims for snow tires.
I ended up with a set of aluminum factory 18's for $400 for the set.
I don't believe that you can buy any aftermarket wheels for less.
I found these on facebook market place and had found several sets on Craigslist for $500.

Working on finding some 18" wheels for snows as well but nothing has popped up locally yet. Going to keep looking since spending a lot on winter boots doesn't seem to make much sense
