When I bought my 2019 Longhorn I went through my local dealer. When I went in to pick up the truck and do the paperwork, the finance guy had added on $99 for locking lug nuts (same on Amazon are $29) and a $299 anti-theft package which amounted to five stickers. Told them to take that money...

There's a TSB on this. It's a wiring harness problem when it gets wet/damp. Mine has been perfect ever since the dealer replaced that.

Mine is averaging right around 16-17. Not great...but compared to my 2001 RAM hemi that got an average of 12, I'm OK with the improvement. :)

I traded my 19 for a 21 just for the MFT and Ramboxes. It's a game changer. The bed is much more functional, and it's nice not to have stuff stuck up in front of the wheel wells like in a plain bed. I can't imagine not have the MFT.

Same here. I quit trying a long time ago and just use Android Auto, which works perfectly.

Did they replace the wiring harness? That's the problem, not the mechanism itself.

It will get fixed, no problem. There is a TSB out on it, and mine just got fixed even though they said the part was backordered. It's a simple swap of a wiring harness, takes maybe half an hour. All good now.

I own a kennel and train gun dogs, both retrievers and pointers, and write a regular training column in Pointing Dog Journal. Also raise Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. My previous career was training and showing horses. Still have a few of my own horses but decided dogs were safer. ;)

Mine was in for that issue today, and they do have a TSB on the problem. They also told me the part wouldn't be in until February, so until then I'll have to keep popping it closed.

I jut picked mine up a couple weeks ago. The only disappointing thing to me (and something they really could have done better) are the inserts on the door panels above the arm rests. They are vinyl with fake printed/embossed stitching made to look like stitched leather...and they do look...

My new truck isn't quite a week old and I'm working on personalizing her. Thinking of doing a wrap on both bumpers, color matched to the Delmonico Red. What would be cool would be the same color on the painted part of the wheels. Anybody ever done that to the wheels...and is it even a good idea?

Evidently not on the new style Ram 1500. It's in the fine print. Works on the DS, not the DT. :(
