I have a similar BedRug only mine does have the integral cover for the tailgate (I don't have the MFT). This is my second BedRug (the first was a full BedRug in my 2008 Ram) and I am sold on them. I absolutely agree with all of @c3k comments.
I don't have a sunroof and have not driven with the back window open. The bracket is quite stiff so I would think it would be OK. I will try to check that out and get back to you.
Thanks for the positive reply, I was hoping to encourage a little bit of positivity. I am glad that you too have a local dealer that you can work with.
I had the most remarkable experience yesterday...Got a call from my Ram dealer regarding a special order item that came in for my truck. I had no idea that I had a special order. It turns out that the service manager saw a scuff mark on the driver's side door panel when he checked my truck in...
There may be some dash cameras that can be powered from USB (5 VDC) but mine and most that I have looked at use 12 volts. @securityguy may have some better insight into this as he has experience with many dash cams from various manufacturers.
As it is currently aimed, it gets the last half of the bed cover. About >2/3 of the image is behind the truck with <1/3 is the bed cover with a few feet to each side of the bed. When I look at some real video I may do as you suggest and aim it down a bit to include more of the sides of the...
It is not very fancy or anything but here is photo of the rear camera on the bent bracket from The Dash Store. I have tan/brown interior and they had a closely matching color bracket. I don't recall which colors that have the bracket in but it could be easily be painted to match if they don't...
I removed the third brake light which gave me easy access to the space above the headliner. I then used a flexible fish tape which I pushed through the third brake light mounting hole to the driver's side A pillar. I attached the cable to the fish tape and pulled it through to the rear window...
I enjoyed our chat as well, Larry. The whole installation only took about two hours although I only worked on it for 15 or 20 minutes at a time. Due to the short work sessions it took all weekend to get finished but everything is back together and the firmware update is complete. Now I just...
I finished installing my BlackVue DR900X-2CH Dual Lens 4K dash cam from TheDashCamStore.com over the weekend. With some excellent advice from @securityguy I routed the rear camera cable above the headliner. I fished the cable from the third brake light access to the driver's side pillar. Until I...
I have a BedRug, this is my second truck with a BedRug. I highly recommend it. They have a heavier duty version as well but, for me, hauling rock and sand will be infrequent so went with the XLT version of the BedRug. Also, since I have the bed utility group, I went with the mat version which...
I have had my truck for just short of one month and we have really enjoyed it from the start. I have installed the BedRug and BakFlip MX4 bed cover and will receive a BlackVue DR900X-2CH Dash Cam on Wednesday of this week.
The short answer is that we have had no problems. If I had it to do...
I just ordered a BlackVue DR900X-2CH Dual Lens 4K dash cam from TheDashCamStore.com with the 10% discount and free shipping. I hope that is all that they claim it is. I also selected the fuse tap set and polarizing filter options.
If I order the 750X-Plus from the BlackVue web site, which fuse tap set should I select? I am leaning toward ordering from BlackVue over Amazon because there are many complaints of people ordering new products from Amazon and receiving repackaged returns.
I am on the US west coast and have similar drop outs in the past couple of weeks. As others have said, likely an issue with the service rather than your vehicle/radio. We have several spots (with open sky) that have always dropped out (over the past six years). There are just some dead spots...
I received my Bakflip MX4 on Friday (the 13th) and installed it with no serious issues on Saturday. The two minor issues were one missing screw for the buckle kit and one of the corner trim pieces is not securely attached. Contacted RealTruck.com (purchased from them, Bakflip parent company)...
