Hey all!

I thought it might be fun to have a thread where everyone could post pictures of their rides of yesterdays gone by. Maybe we can make it a sticky if we get enough people participating; I think it's neat to see what other forum members used to cruise around in the past.

I'll start: my 67 Convertible that I built from boxes. This thing was stripped down to the frame when I bought it and all the bolts on the car were in one 5 gallon bucket, unlabeled!

My 67 Hardtop. This was a fun car to put together. The floors were like Fred Flintstone's car!

My 84 Econoline custom van. Man this thing was tricked out inside and it was a ton of fun to travel in. I think I might get another one when I retire.

My Nissan Frontier. I really dug this truck but man was the engine a dog! It took about 15 minutes to get up to highway speeds :p

My Nissan Hardbody. This was my first new 4WD vehicle. This was one of those "I shoulda kept it" vehicles:

My Chevy S10. I bought this thing new in 94 and man it was a piece of ****! This was my final straw with Chevy; the manual transmission was going bad by the time I was up to 40k miles and they wouldn't fix it under warranty (started going bad around 15k miles). It was a shame, too, because it got killer gas mileage.

My 84 GMC. By the time I had 100k miles on this truck I had rebuilt the engine, transmission, and rear differential, and the catalytic converter was going bad. It was an awesome truck when it wasn't broke down :D

My first car: a 1978 Dodge (Mitsubishi) Colt. It was a piece of junk, but dammit it was my piece of junk! Yes, that's me in the background showing off my 17 year old body and mane of hair. Yeah, this picture was *a long* time ago :D This thing was total state of the art - 8 track, sunroof, and a big hatchback to carry around all the crap you needed to keep with you when you broke down!

My 91 Mazda B2200. This really was a truck I should have kept because it was just damn bulletproof. I always felt like a hobo driving it - the previous guy used it as a farm truck - but it was just so reliable. I drove it 50 miles home once on a blown slave cylinder by skipping shifts and rev-matching.

These aren’t quite yesteryear more like yesterday as I am not that old yet haha!
I am in the works of buying an Olds 442, so hopefully I can share that too.

When I lived in Chicago mpg mattered!

2016 Silverado I traded in for my ram. Really liked this truck but had twins and needed the crew cab to fit car seats lol.

@jdmartin you forgot your best one! You've got a pic of your Titan hiding somewhere!

Mine were a 2008 Titan that needed a back seat upgrade to fit kids and dogs, and a 2011 Ninja 1000. Car before the Titan was a 1997 Chevy Blazer that was an absolute POS bought from a "friend" (never do that unless you can repair anything in the vehicle). I spent more time underneath that thing than I did driving it from ages 16-20 until I bought the Titan. Sold that Blazer for less than the stereo that was inside it due to engine and transmission problems that never got resolved.

I know it! I have others too that I haven't dug up yet, like my Titans (both of them), my Jeeps, etc. I only found those by accident and thought it would be a fun thread because I remember a guy on the other thread - the electric Mustang one - looking for pics of my Mustangs.

A 1989 gmc jimmy "gypsy" edition, a real shame no pictures survived of this beauty (heavy sarcasm)

Then the rams, 2011/2013/2017 and current 2021 but we all know what those look like. Lastly, but mostly, have had this love of my life since 2003 when I was just 17. 1966 Buick Lesabre:

Nice rides! 2003/17? Damn, I always pictured you around my age. You need to take some young-man pills :p :p

Thank you! I've always had a thing for full size vehicles (other than the wrangler of course) but also had a thing for destroying trucks for a while too :ROFLMAO:

And haha yeah I'm slightly on the younger side but losing ground fast, officially got my first grey hairs this past year and they are coming in nicely in particular in my beard. At least my 66 buick will always have 20 years on me!

Good idea for the thread, I always like seeing peoples vehicle historys especially through pictures.

Not a great picture but in the same picture are the only two vehicles I regret getting rid of. This is a 1970 Cutlass supreme convertible I had. It had numbers matching transmission and he gave me the numbers matching engine with it but it wasn’t in the car at the time. It had a different rocket 350 in it that was completely worn out, I barely got it home. I pulled that engine and put in another donor rocket 350 I found on Craigslist just so I could drive it while I had the original engine rebuilt. So I swapped motors in it 3 times. Sold it because I wanted to get one that wasn’t numbers matching so I could drop a big block in it.

behind it was my 2014 Ram Outdoorsman. Wish I would have never sold that either 9A42298D-18FD-4661-8116-F0D565625E92.jpeg
