Sasebo, hot and humid in the summer and cold with some snow in the winter, beautiful falls , similar to the northeast. It is on the southern island near Nagasaki. Never made it to Okinawa, my wife has a lot of exposure there, she works for the Marines welfare program. She loves her Marines.

True, summer is 85 and 80 in the winter. The place I lived that had seasons was Japan, and Illinois when I was young.
